The "Middle East" is a term invented in Europe. These are all asian countries so these people are all asian. If you want to be more specific call them Chinese, Philipine, Thai, Syrian, etc...

The vast majority of Russians live in the European part of Russia. In the Eastern part of Russia there are a lot of Chinese, Mongols, native Siberians, etc. 

Asia was a Nymph in Greek mythology and Greeks had little to no knowledge of China, Philippines, Thailand, Japan, etc.

Herodotos is the earliest source where Asia is used for the entire continent (or what the knew of it at least). Greeks divided the world in 3: Europa, Asia & Libya (Africa).

Before you all end up embroiled in a debacle involving semantics and linguistic fads, Asia Minor has been used to refer to anything east of the Bosphorus. The Near East has been used to refer to what would be considered Turkey, the Middle East is a rather new term used to refer to Arabia and Persia and the Far East to East and Southern/Southeast Asia.

East = Asia. The only exception is really Russia, which isn't an exception because most work in the Northern Districts that are between the Sarmatic region and the Urals, which are considered European.
