Forums - Sales Discussion - SEGA confirm PC sales of 170,000 plus for Bayonetta

That's quite low for such a big game, especially at $20.

Unless you have a source, don't make these baseless comments. It's okay to have a positive PC thread now and again.

I hope they enjoy it. One of my favorite games at the time and I made a thread saying that it sucked (based on the trailer). Couldn't recommend it enough after playing it but so many other games have borrowed from it since then, it probably doesn't impress like it used to. I feel like it's my baby!

I always thought you were into blonde :p

No way, those are good numbers. Remember this is an old game that's already available on PS3, 360 and WiiU.

Awesome, and well deserved.  Phenominal #'s....  Hopefully Vanquish does the same.

It could have been 30 times and not three and it still wouldn't matter. Bottom line the sales are very good considering the 8 year port of a somewhat niche game.

okay-ish sales for a late port I guess, but profit wise definitely very low.

nnnnNICE!

Well we don't know what the development costs were in total for porting the game to PC. Obviously they must feel they are on the right track of performance and delta revenue, since they are verry happy.
Also the pc gaming market is nearly as big as the console market, based on revenue from SuperData analysis. So it can't come as a surprise really, when you base it on the number of PC gamers out there, and take a percentage who would potentially buy Bayonetta. There obviously must be someone who buys a game. No matter the age of the game. Also action games like Bayonetta are on of the most commercially attractive submarkets in gaming.
I'm really not surprised.

It's irrelevant how many pirate something. It's only relevant how many of them would buy it otherwise and I guess it won't be that many.
