Yea, I know exclusives will be where we really see what the system is capable of.

I hope its not held back too much in multi plats.

Jups,Scalebound  is going  to look  amazing. 😏

The most powerful hardware on the planet wouldn't keep Scalebound from looking like pure garbage :)

Very hyped to see Switch selling more than this.

Believe the hype.

Assuming a premium price-point, I'm very interested in seeing how the Scorpio does at retail. How many people care enough about graphical fidelity to pay that much but not enough to go the PC route? Is there a significant market for high-end home consoles? How many people will switch from Playstation to Xbox based on "the best console versions" of multi-plats alone?

Interesting stuff.

Personally, I'm kind of skeptical unless Microsoft unveils a REALLY big blockbuster showcase game at E3. That, or they demonstrate that certain major multi-plats on Scorpio will outclass other versions by a significant and meaningful degree.

So what kind of people belong here?  Gamers or Xbox fanatics?

why would you not want to see both sell great?

Because I don't like the path we are going. Companies are already struggling to survive, as production becomes more and more expensive. By result, we have the same companies delivering the same IPs every year.  It's pretty clear that the focus is how realistic beautiful a game is, not about innovation in gameplay x story anymore. I want brand new faces and experiences such as Arms, Splatoon or Horizon Zero Dawn, Dreams.

By contrast we have MS cancelling Scalebound and "under delivering" the promised Phantom Dust reboot.

This is gamers, not Microsoft. They consistently made this generation about power and which console had the best gpu, cpu, flops and whatever the hell they wanted. Xbox One was constantly scrutinized for not being as powerful as a PS4, some fans but mostly non-fans alike complained. Microsoft heard, and obliged by making a console that stomps over the competition. Now that it's been announced, people act as if Microsoft isnt listening. It is very frustrating. Microsoft released some of the best new IP's this gen, they are overlooked. Honestly, Scorpio is what people were asking for, it truly is the "we heard you console".

Unfortunately the cancelation of Scalebound happened, but it happens in this industry. Not saying you are wrong for your opinion of course. I also dont agree with the obsession over graphics, but gamers are doing this to themselves, not the companies imo.

You be the judge.

Gamers.  That's why you have dissenting opinions.

I disagreed when people jumped over GRAPHXXXX back then. I played one of those Call of Dutys on Xbox and didn't see a difference from PS4, and as a graphic designer I have very keen eyes for details. There was a difference, but was plain irrelevant.

What peaked my interest was Killer Instinct. I liked the flow of the combat and how MS believed in something that did not have guns or cars for once. But people keep talking about 1080p blablabla and now we have Scorpio...

However, even WiiU delivered 1080p@60fps, but their graphics are not "good" because are "stylized". Oh, for god's sake... u_u
