To lazy to go into detail for millionth time especially when at this point people's opinions aren't changing, but to put it simply the gameplay isn't just bland and depthless but actually annoying and tedious. Wont deny that the game looks nice and the writing is the same as ever even with Toad overload, but those aren't reasons I buy a game. For instance the story and characters in Fire Emblem Fates is laughably bad, and I hated how they split the game up into DLC, but it has amazing gameplay, so I still loved the game overall.

OT: Game has surprisingly good legs. I haven't finished it, but from what I've played its a decent & fun game.

It does have a lot of charm, just got a lot of criticism by following the Sticker Star formula. If they move away from it, it would probably be received better initially

And Sticker Star did pretty well too anyway, so there is nothing to discourage Nintendo and Miyamoto from their horrible experiments.

Yeah but even I bought Sticker Star, so I think it safe to assume I'm far from the only one who bought the game under false pretenses.

Its a very fun and gorgeous game I'm not surprised, it isn't great, but is definitely far from bad.

If it means anything, I refused to buy this game, solely for the lack of Ultra Shrooms.
