Its going to be another generation where Sony has better looking exclusives than Microsofts, even in 4k. Its easy to build something when you cannot create new content for it. Microsoft cannot outdevelop Sony and Sony trailed them until they caught up with them for a reason. When the hype builds up about how great their exclusives play and look it no longer matters. Only difference is Sony is destroying the Xbox One 2:1 and the fans are still talking.

Too funny! It seems someone here is getting a little S.T.A.G.E FRIGHT at the prospect that the PS4 Pro will no longer be the most powerful console on the market in the coming months.  Come on mate... this thread has even nothing to do with Microsoft or Xbox.

Theres no stage fight. Its just as I said...Sony might have the lesser looking multiplats, but their exclusives will stand out (just like last gen when Microsoft had the better looking multiplats). Really and truly no one except hardcore gamers cares that the game will not run on 60 fps. Console gamers have been used to resolution trumping framrate for years.

MS paid for 60 fps on Scorpio ;)

PS4 CPU is faster.

Faster on MGz, but not on architecture, in real performance the NS cpu is better.  *(maybe around 5-10% pr mhz)

This is a lie, they are basically around equal (within 10% or so of one another) (jaguar vs A57) if you have them running same mhz.

WHICH THEY DONT.

A57 @1020MHz (nitnendo switch cpu, always run this speed) x 4 cores.   (from eurogamer)

vs

AMD Jaguard @1650MHZ (PS4) x 8

The PS4 has a stronger CPU.

The CPU from the pro is very weak so it struggles with many games.

It has the strongest CPU of any console on the market right now :P

Well, that image certainly hasn't stopped their games from selling! But I'd personally probably always choose a higher FPS over better graphics.

Well that means joining the PC gaming master race and accepting Gabe as your true lorf and saviour.

Nahh, I already have consoles, I don't have the money to get a gaming PC.

Wait wait i thought ps4 and xbox one could handle anything this generation?

They can handle (i.e. run with an acceptable performance and visual profile for the average consumer) effectively any major AAA title. What they can't do it run everything without any compromises, and Bungie are explaining the reason for one such compromise here. If the PS4, X1, or Pro couldn't "handle" Destiny 2, it wouldn't be on them at all :p

MMOs is all about CPU power. But one does have to wonder how SE can get a massive mmo like FF14 up to 60fps with 100s of different characters on the screen with the PS4.

You don't have to wonder, because they don't :p The PS4 version or FF14 has a highly variable frame-rate which sometimes even drops below 30fps when things get busy. It's a massive upgrade over the PS3 version (which had only a passing acquaintance with the number 30), but it's still far from perfect. The Pro update should produce better results, but we'll have to wait and see how much better.

I should note that this isn't a criticism against the PS4 (outside of the usual "its CPU is trash like everyone else's"), getting FF14 to stick to 60fps is hard even on a relatively good PC. When i was playing with a GTX680 and i7-3930K in 2013 - 2014 (between them considerably better than a PS4), Mor Dhona would frequency drag me into the high 20's when things were really busy. Even with my new PC i have to choose between a perfect 60fps and turning the settings down, or accepting that 5% of the time the frame-rate will want to have a little dance.

And that's sad.
