We know it's a scale down because PSN has over 30% more MAU,

Again, some say its bad and some say good.

What do you think?

Obviously 70 million is a phenomenal number. I wonder how easy the transition to their next system will be, keeping the vibrant ecosytem they've slowly built intact between platforms. Continuing to add value and improved features down the line, there is so much growth for a service like this. Netflix and Spotify have shown that if you offer strong value to the consumer, ease of access and use, they're more than happy to pay. Given the huge revenue they're now taking in on a monthly basis, I think Sony would do well to really double down, and develop more value for this serivce.

70M sounds great but I wonder if it counts each account created by one user. I know I have 3 which I only use one now since the PS3 days.

If that were the case the number would be over 110m considering Sony reported that many total unique accounts on their service as of 2013 (think of this as a LTD number. Also, as you can see, that figure is 4 years old).  By now that number's probably over 140 million. 70m is just talking about monthly active users. Anyone who logged in for that month.

How do you Sony users feel that you are being harvested?

..sadly i am one of those...biggest waste of money i ever spent..due to being ip banned by sony and their shit security servers put some that psplus sub money and get a better company that doesnt ip ban ppl for no reason to handle your network security

What is the price of PS+, $50/year? Thats alot of money coming in, was a great idea to make it a paid subscription.

Aye clocks in at around $1.3b gross

Nothing to turn your nose up to right there.

Yeah it's significant amount of revenue but it must cost more than half to maintain. So the $1.3 billion means nothing if we don't know PSN expenses.

How times have changed. Celebrating how many people pay to use their own internet connection :)

I'm one of them too anyway. Got ps+ when Tokyo Jungle came out, never cancelled it. The discounts and occasional fun indie make up for it.

Good to see PSVR is doing well and they're still thinking in traditional console cycles (harvest period).

Is that that online subscribtion thinh from sony?

Just playing PC and Nintendo games. And i am too lazy to hoogle it.
