Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Level-5 is working on Switch games

CEO of Level-5, Akihiro Hino, talked with Nikkei Trendy about his personal experiences with the Nintendo Switch and at the very end states that the company is working on games that support the Nintendo Switch. You can check out the excerpt below.

Hino:“I think Switch is good. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is extremely fun. It’s almost dangerous. (Laughs.) Actually, playing with Switch myself, my impression [of the system] has changed a lot from when it was still in development. I was hesitant about its ‘play both inside and outside’ style, but I feel like there is a considerable potential there.

“Anyway, Zelda is a lot of fun, so I personally carry it around and play it as much as I can, even on airplanes. The model that Nintendo gave me is the one with the red- and blue-colored controllers, so when I carried it around a lot, the looks I got made me self-conscious. I bought the black controller that they released myself and attached it. (Laughs.)

“I think the Style of Switch is a wonderful fit for competitive games. You can play if you’re gathered in real life, as well as online. For example, I think the fact that the game lovers within a company can get together and play Mario Kart is really fascinating and interesting. And while I can’t say the content quite yet, we’re working on game(s)* that support [Switch].”

I only know YW and Professor Layton from them. What other huge IPs do they make?

Pocky Lover Boy!

So Youkai Watch, Prof. Layton and Inazuma Eleven. Good for all of them, they shouldn't take that much time to make, and they all sell well in general, specially in Europe.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

They've made some of the Dragon Quest games on DS, but of course those are owned by Squeenix. Inazuma Eleven? Ni no Kuni.

DQXI port.
Yokai

I like how he said being a grown man and carrying around a red and blue handheld made him self conscious. That's pretty much the main reason I got the all black version. Not because I give a shit what people think but because I would have felt silly and immature carrying around the toy-like version.

I now fully expect Yokai Watch 4 for the Switch to be announced in a Japanese exclusive Nintendo Direct in the near future after E3.

I just want Lady layton to come to the Switch. Not neccissarily the one that is coming this year (although an HD port would be nice) but future games in the series.
