After Zelda Botw Success i think its a Good Idea to Adapt other Nintendo Franchises for a Open World Main Game or a Spin-Off Game, the first comes to my mind is Splatoon, maybe a open World game like Borderlands or Mass Effect with focus on Coop with many and many Quests would be a good choice, What you Think? Share your Idea below :)

Honestly your idea for Splatoon would be much more fitting for a Star Fox or any other franchise than Splatoon. In fact I don't think Splatoon would work at all in open-world outside of the aesthetics, so there's just not much point to it.

I think what would be better is a Portal-like game of puzzles based around the use and distribution of ink in stages.

Noooo thanks. Splatoon is designed around online multiplayer matches and singleplayer levels. It would be cool to explore Inkopolis freely, but I don't think making it an Open-world would be fitting. At all.

Edit: I also doubt Nintendo is looking to make more games Open world because of BotW. They should be looking how to change or evolve their franchises, while fitting the series' past games. Look at Mario Odyssey.

i would love a huge open-world Inkopolis to explore.

There could be some vehicles, but they'd have to fit the Splatoon setting. EX: A motorcycle with sponge wheels that leaves ink as it moves, or a helicopter that spreads ink from it's rotor blades.

Yes, that's good, but I'd still like to see them implement vehicles that leave ink like I said.

No. Open world is not necessarily better than linear, and Splatoon is one of those games that works better as tightly-focussed, bite-sized chunks.

Not everything has to be a sandbox, and I really dislike that this gen is turning every damn franchise out there into one.

Splatoon MMO, perhaps? It needs the multiplayer aspect, but it could be really funny if everyone is on this one really huge map, with actual fronts building between the different colours... Plan an infiltration, capture spawn points, a couple massive weapons...
