Tell me how did the survey get the opini of Palestine where Israel continually bombs hospitals and schools there? How do you conduct an accurate survey in a literal war zone would you care to elaborate? Lebanon is  another place as well as Nigeria where I seriously question the accuracy of these surveys. Plus in each country the most you could have surveyed is a couple thousand people so still not the millions you tout. I mean I am in Pakistan and I've never even heard of such a survey ever being conducted. Plus I thought we were talking about the ideology of Islam here not the thought process of Muslims? In Islam even doing harm to your body is considered haram for most sects. Suicide is not in any way appropriate especially for the ideology of Islam which shuns it.

Let's see Israel terrorizes Palestine and hamas fights back so hamas is a terrorist while Israel is not. Of course when you include hamas which are generally considered freedom fighters of Palestine to Muslims around the world unlike how the west sees them as terrorists you are going to get mixed results. Also of note the better the condition of a country the less it seems to even care about the subject and rejects it. Plus these surveys are at best conducted for thousands of people not millions so they do not represent the majority or the percentage they show cause the way you ask stions and the people you ask them from influence results. And no way in hell shitty places or literal war zones like Palestine, Lebanon and Nigeria can be places for accurate surveys

Yes, blame the victims who just retaliate when random rockets are shot into their country.  Not the people who shot those rockets from and house themselves in hospitals and schools, using them as human shields.  They know full well that when Israel hits them anyway, they'll get the sympathy of the Left.

Of course, for some Islam is never at fault, so they'll find poor excuses for how they think or what they do.  All that can be found in the Quran.   Mostly the part about how non-Muslims are scum and are either to be killed, made a slave, or pay a fee to you just to continue existing.  Wisely, there are some moderates who choose to look at the positive passages and live by those, while condemning these attacks.  But, the Progressives wish to ignore those people and instead come up with more shitty excuses.  And then support Muslims who are sympathetic to the attackers plight/cause, while ignoring the Muslims who agree that there is a problem in their own religion.

Are you seriously calling Israel a victim in all of this? Look at the map buddy land that used to be Palestine has quickly become israal in just 6 decades. I  have never met a victim who grows stronger and stronger like that after being "assaulted". Yeah if you call Israel a victim, I don't think we go very far having a conversation about anything. Israel is as much a victim as Donald Drumpf or Kim Jon Un or Vladmir Putin. The sad thing is Palestine will probably not exist after just a few decades since Israel continues to take more land illegally breaking all sorts of international laws and will continue to kill innocents calling them Hamas or terrorists or whatever else it pleases cause it got the dough and people like you will buy the propaganda they are selling

Lol somehow this is Trump's fault?

I had a canker sore last week too ... Trump has to be connected.

Even when this was retaliation after Trump's speech I would not blame Trump for it.

Have they even identified the bomber at this point?

Innocent people murdered by evil losers.

Britain's terrorist threat level has been escalated from severe to critical. Armed troops have been deployed to keep the streets safe and provide more security.

The saddest part is, what can be done? If banning a group of people based on religion or place of origin is wrong, what else can we do? Ban guns? They use bombs, which are already illegal, or knives, or cars. Education? The majority of these attackers are homegrown, second generation. They grew up in these countries and still made their decisions. Counter intelligence? Blamed for profiling and invasion of privacy.

Nothing can be done, at least nothing that fits progressive western ethics.

Apparently there were signs.

Mohammed Saeed, a senior figure of Didsbury Mosque and Islamic Centre, said Salman Abedi had looked at him “with hate” after he gave a sermon criticising Isis and Ansar al-Sharia in Libya.

Saeed said he gave a strong sermon against terrorism and about the sanctity of life in 2015. He said 2,000 members of the mosque were with him; a small number were not; and a few signed a petition criticising him.

“Salman showed me a face of hate after that sermon,” he said. “He was showing me hatred.”

Saeed said a friend was so worried that he got his adult children to sit beside Salman Abedi in case he was attacked Saeed.

Saeed, who was born in Libya and came to the UK in 1980, said he was worried he would be labelled a “snitch”. But he said: “I have to speak out to protect our community, to protect innocent people.”

Perhaps making it easier to speak out before something happens would be a start.

Counter mesures must be put in place to prevent Muslim terrorists from attacking non-Muslims.
How about 24/7 surveillance and have military troops carrying out security checks?
It will be hard to carry out a terrorist attack if there are armed guards with rifles or shot guns pointed at the terrorists head.

Didn't see any sites that named him when I responded before.

First of all, I'm heart broken, and deeply saddened by this. It's horrible enough to kill civilians, but young girls? My blood is still boiling.

Now onto the politics.. While it's potentially harmful to make the blanket statement that this is an Islam problem and fall back to xenophobia, it's also naive and potentially harmful to say that this atrocity has absolutely NOTHING to do with Islam. Obviously there are millions of well meaning Muslims, but there are also thousands of Muslims determined to use massive violence and many millions more who support these acts, along with millions who view women as second class citizens who need to cover up and have a male escort at all times while many find homosexuality to be a punishable sin, many in countries that throw gays off buildings.

It's more accurate to say that these terrorist acts are the result of Islamic extremism + oppressive neocon policies of the West that have created wars in many of these societies and helped inflame terrorism. While I believe the West needs to stop (or at least dial back) the meddling of foreign affairs, which often causes a certain level of blowback from these largely Muslim countries, I likewise believe that Islam is in desperate need of reformation, similar to what Christianity had in the age of the Enlightenment.

This is a great interview that helps shed some more light on the subject, from a former Islamist and one who is seeking reform from within the religion. It's a very long interview but worth watching the entire thing, very insightful and intelligent.

No problem, just raise taxes 20% so we will be able to afford this kind of surveillance.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

We don't need special laws to strike fundamentalist pawns, preachers and leaders, they already violate enough laws and articles of most constitutions to be prosecuted if they are citizens of our countries or denied entry if strangers.
