It's sad because I stopped playing it awhile ago when it was just on pc and ps3.

You will have to clear everything and buy stormblood to be able to play the new classes which includes samurai.

Oh seriously? I thought you need stormblood to unlock the new classes, just like with heavensward. So apparently you can unlock samurai and red mage in a realm reborn but cant unlock the older jobs from heavensward ?

yeah you can unlock them both in the base game, you just need to own the expansion stormblood. I guess they heard that a lot of people was pissed off before with DRK and MCH being locked behind a gate.

Thats the best part of the game though... it requires teamwork, and so you develope friendships with people you enjoy playing with.
And your small groups meet up, and go off adventureing together.
FFXIV is differnt from most other MMO's because of its lack of focus on pvp, and a heavy focus on the team aspect.
Its mostly a PVE game, with tough battles, that ll feel rewarding to beat.

Borderlands is also a team based game but it doesn't shove players who aren't in your team in your face.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Edit nevermind apparently you can get Samurai if you haven't beaten a realm reborn
Do we know what level the new jobs start at? Cause I am dreading the grind to 60 when I switch to Samurai.
