Interesting. Maybe the game will launch this year?

maybe, but i think that the chances are higher for god of war

Nah, I'd bet God of War is first half of 2018.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Maybe this time we get to see a gameplay demo that's not mind-numbingly boring.

Gameplay looked fine to me.  It was also more to show off the zombie tech.  Still, it looked like a blast to mow down that many zombies.

Looking forward to this game myself!

wouldn't say that, if i remember correctly the game was playable from start to finish last winter, so i expect it could be ready for this year

Considering is common for GoW to release in March, I would also say first half of 2018.
Though I want it this year so I can have TLOU2 2018, not 2019 XP

I don't think that's how that works haha

let's see, i would see god of war better as holiday title, but who knows

Well, yeah, we did have Ascension and TLOU in the same year xP
I just don't think Sony would want those 2 to come the same year again, it's better to spread it out, and if GoW is 2018 I don't see TLOU2 being as well...
Honesly TLOU2 sounds like 2019 anyway, but GoW4 sounded 2018 and it might come 2017, so I just want to have some hope, lol.

TLOU2 isn't going to be a 2018 game. There's no way it will be done that fast.

Just like many here i wasnt all that excited for this game (though ive never seen the zombie horde act like it did in that demo in any game, so i was at least giving it that), however i got pretty excited for the game after watching an interview with the devs in which they explain their goals with the game and what they are actually trying to do.

The interview im talking about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH5bFYBEHeo&t=459s

That depends, it certainly has the caliber to do so, but it just never did.
To Sony would be better to not drop their best games in the holidays, as the PS4 will be stacked with games that sell a damn lot on that period anything due to third parties, this is for example, a Rockstar main game, there is just no need for it, and releasing games in the first half have been doing pretty well for them this gen, with the exception of Second Son, which wasn't all that big, Sony best exclusives coming during the first half has been great for PS4, it makes the system interesting all year long, and the huge success of Uncharted 4 also prove the games can sell a whole damn lot as well, Horizon will be the same once it gets past it first holiday Sony will give us a massive number on it (as if the launch wasn't huge already xP), it kind of makes sense to wait for GoW March 2018 and TLOU2 May 2019.

We'll also be seeing Gran Turismo Sport this year, so all the less reason to drop GoW this year.

habe the feeling this year could be different, because of scorpio and switch, and the best answer from sony would to put out the strongest ip's

PS4 will be selling like hotcakes anyway, then when the hype stops on the XBOX due to holiday being over, Sony has all the atention to drop GoW and bring all the talk to the PS4.
Well, if the game gets read around E3, it would be hard to Sony to hold it until next year, though they could use this extra time to improve certain aspects of it and release an even better product next year, which would be good for the game.

if ffviir is ready for holiday, then Sony can wait with god of war til march;)
