Interstellar isn't a Hollywood film.

It's a big budget American sci fi movie by Nolan North in what way isn't it a Hollywood movie. Anyway it's still a movie I enjoyed for 2/3 of the ride and didn't enjoy the last part. Why can't a movie have a bad ending sometimes, there isn't much of a surprise left if the ending is always good. The conclusion we really fucked up and now we pay the price for it would have been sufficient and way more suitable than the equivalent of magic to get a good ending. Hell if they included doctor who in the black hole it would have been a better ending.

Hollywood films are from Hollywood California, Interstellar is not, and that is how it is not a Hollywood film.

Also, you are incorrect about it being a big budget American movie,  it is mostly a British movie as the primary production company is Syncopy Inc, is a London based company. In addition the writer/director/producer, Christopher Nolan, is also not American, he is English. While there are American production partners, none of them are from Hollywood. In addition, the film was not filmed in Hollywood sets, and was actually mostly filmed outside of the United States.

Why do you think it is a film from Hollywood when it is clearly not?

Around the Network

None actually, although there are many that have come close, such as Grave of the Fireflies, which has already been mentioned here at least a few times.

Grave of the Fireflies... and i'm not a bit ashamed. One of the most powerfull movies I have ever seen, and it's animation.

Suicide Squad almost got me....

WHY DID I PAY 5 EUROS FOR THIS MESS

*watering up*

That's it? I paid $11 to watch it in AMC...

Around the Network

I have never cried during a film that I can recall.

Although... I have not felt anything since I was a child. Only disgust for people who have emotions. Revulsion for people who do not know how to dress. Sickness when I see weakness in others.

Actually... I came close after this scene, gets me every time...

Our cinema has a special on Tuesdays, all tickets are 5 except the imax.... bigmax.... bigmac w/e version which is about 8, very cheap... but still felt so ripped off to be paying to watch an extended trailer basically.

Legit though on topic some of the films which got me really badly were

Obviously

Grave of the fireflies (rewatching it again the start even gets me teared up because I know it's the end scene continued if you think about it, the movie is circular)

Brother Bear (when Koda is telling his story about the scariest night he ever had... and watching Kenai realise what night that ... fuck that got me balling)

Iron Giant (Suuuuu....peeerrrrrrrrr Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnn *eyes close* )

seriously spoilers but https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4dT2eBWI2M everytime.....

TV series which got me the worst in recent times has to have been Doctor Who at the ending of the Angels take manhatten

Again spoilers do not watch this if you want to watch Doctor who at any stage, it is the ending to a huge story arc... was crying for about 20 mins after this...
