I first learned to ride a bike when I was 9 years old and we had the bike lessons in school. ^^

**pic** I was recently in a post about fears and phobias, and I remembered the bike thing. I was really ashamed of it when I was younger (I was "sick" when we had our biking unit every year). So I decided to close that chapter up and fix this goddamn mess. I called in sick to work today, and I kept trying until I could finally ride. It took me almost 3 hours of trying to ballence myself, but I did it, I can now ride a bike. Well, I'm only 21 years late to the club, but I did it. I made 6 year old me proud - well at least before it ended up in the hospital for cutting its head open for falling off a bike while learning... |

I was slow at learning to tell time on analog displays and tying my shoes. I could speak a second language fluently before I knew how to do those two...

I'm not sure about him, but where I live public transportation isn't the best. However, I still take the bus because being a university student gives me a bus pass.

I remember reading that Los Angeles used to have pretty good public transport, but then the big automobile companies lobbied to try to make people buy cars instead. So yeah, maybe the obsession with owning a car here has to do with that.

Good for you. My dad taught me and sent me riding down a hill by myself. I was so happy and excited to do it on my own, until I soared right into a brick church sign.
