Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo could NEVER keep up with the demand of a Pokemon Swith RPG.

Ive wanted a high budget Pokemon console game since forever, give me graphics like the ones in the Pokemon Tekken game and a world as big, open and fun to explore as the one in Zelda BOTW, give me voice acting with maybe some older characters instead of just kids and i am sold.

A real mainline pokemon game on Switch would ensure Switch's long term success. Pokemon is a catalyst for Nintendo hardware sales.

So an infinite supply of consoles is not enough to cover 10 million units of software?

I see.

It's more likely we'll see Pokemon Z on the Switch than a new generation I would think....

God damn it though I would buy that shit day one.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Like never.

If they had infinite stock of Nintendo Switches, it would sell like 2 million day one, 4 million in a month, 10 million lifetime.

Do NOT TELL me Pokemon only sell mobile. THEY NEVER tried to port a Pokemon RPG to consoles, so nobody really knows

Pokemon Switch would be overkill and the demand would create a inferno of scalpers selling the Swith at 1k or more.

I mean the real deal main series, not a spin off. I mean if Gamefreak made the mainline Pokemon game that fans have been asking for for ages. AAA budget, open world design, bigger scale, better graphics, full voice-acting, etc. Such a game would sell a metric crap ton and would be a huge system seller for Switch.

So... Your thoughts.

There's no reason this has never happened before. "Gale of Darkness" and co. do not count. They were hardly mainline, nor open-world.

I'm hoping like hell that they were developing the Switch game alongside Sun/Moon so it can come out later this year, but in all likelihood it'll be next year or 2019. I want it right now so badly though.

They wouldn't keep up with it because of the artificial shortages that they are know to create for their typical reasons. Also in that situation, people would be pushed into buying it digitally which nintendo would make more money that way.

Always the same games but it sells well so they should keep on milking.

so do you think a normal pokemon game on switch like the 3ds ones but with shiny graphics wouldnt sell 10 million?
