Why in the world are people blaming Nomura for the way FFXV turned out? He was taken off the project by Square management to work on FF7 Remake 2 years before FFXV released. FFXV's issues are 100% the fault of Tabata, who made massive changes to Nomura's plans when he took over, and Square, for rushing the game out after Tabata decided to make massive changes.
Nomura is trying to direct 2 games at once, something that very few game directors have ever tried. It's not exactly easy trying to oversee 2 teams at once, in 2 different cities (Osaka and Tokyo). Square made FF7 Remake his top priority because it's a bigger franchise, so of course KH3 will suffer some as a result. Blame Square for that, not Nomura. It also doesn't help matters that Square has had half of his team working on 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8 throughout KH3's development, just so they could eek every possible penny out of the franchise.
Besides, even with the cut content, KH3 will still be as big as KH2 most likely, and that is still very big. KH3 was supposed to be bigger than KH2 originally, but if the rumors are true and some content is being cut, I'd expect a similar size to KH2. I'm just glad that the rumor says it will release next year, I had feared a 2019 release for it.
