Any check of Drumpf's political compass proves that this is bull crap. Drumpf? A centralist? That's the funniest thing I've heard. Almost all American politicians fall in the alt right square on a political compass - including Obama and Clinton. If i knew how to insert pics I would but since I don't a link will have to do. https://www.politicalcompass.org/uselection2016

Ok I more mean a centrist in contemporary American politics, not global or even lifelong American political history. Compared to politics in the past 50 years or so in America, he is a centrist. He is liberal on certain things (multiple wives/divorces, doesn't want to go against gay marriage it looks like, is against outsourcing jobs to other countries because they have cheaper workers) and is conservative in others (big spending on military, anti abortion appointment to the Supreme Court, trying to weaken/eliminate the department of education). Heck, Bill Clinton (when he was President) was more socially conservative than Drumpf is now (as was Hillary, probably).

Uhhhh... what?  I don't think being against divorce has been a partisan issue since King Henry split from the Catholic church.  Being against outsourcing jobs (which is really lip service based on his record) is not a liberal position.  It's generally agreed by both parties that it is not a good thing, even if they disagree on how to best combat it.  If anything, conservatives tend to be more outspoken on this, even if it does conflict with their capitalistic ideals.

Trump is in favor of extreme deregulation, eliminating vast amounts of the federal government, lifting basically all environmental protections, vehemently anti-immigration, heavily nationalistic, against seperation of church and state, etc etc.  Those are all traits of what Americans call the right.  His arguments against the free press and in favor of increased executive authority are true right wing view points.

Whether he believes these things or is just pandering, Trumps words and actions are clearly on the far right.

I'm conflicted on this. He shared information with the Russians about something to do with ISIS right? ISIS is a common enemy, so that seems logical, doesn't it? The only weird part is that we didn't share it with our allies first.

But one of the reasons Drumpf was elected was so we could have a less hostile relationship with the Russians, as no one in America (and I'm sure Russia), and certainly not the rest of the world wants the two of us to go at it again, and despite his crazy actions, Drumpf seems to be the best bet at getting along with the Russians more.

The issue is that the information was not obtained by US agents.  It was obtained through a foreign government.  When a country shares classified information with another nation, their is an understanding that the information will not be shared with other governments without first consulting the source nation.

In this case if Israel is the source nation, as has been speculated, then the information could potentially go through Russia to their ally, Iran, which could jeapordize Israeli intelligence operations.  The upshot of this for the US is that Israel will be less likely to share intel in the future.  If your friend keeps blabbing your secrets, you're going to stop sharing them.  Israel is our most important ally in terms of counter-terrorism.  If they are indeed the source, then alienating them is a terrible idea.

Worse, he didn't consult US intelligence agencies either.  If he consulted US intelligence agencies, and they agreed that sharing this information was for the greater good, then that would be defensible.  But just kind of blurting it out at a meeting is erratic and dangerous behavior.

Around the Network

I have to say that people spreading and believing this Anti - Russia hate, are truly dumb.
A few things for you to think/consider:
1. Russia has many economical ties with the European Union, in fact Russia is the biggest energy provider for EU. So somehow it's fine for Russia to be linked to EU (that has many NATO members), but not with USA.
2. USA has had and has economical ties for decades with the Arab Golf nations that support terrorism, nations that have customs and laws that go against everything the Western World/democracy stands for, almost none in the media talks about it, but if USA tries to have a good relationship with Russia, it's a shitstorm and everybody goes crazy.

EDIT .... I also find it dumb how the left is complaining about USA and Russia going against IS.

I find the double standards of the MSM on this issue quite amusing:

MSM: "Scandal! Donald Trump has shared super insanely top-secret highly confidential information with a russian! Sure, he had any right to do so, but still: That information is top-secret for a reason, man! Someone in the white house was so truly upset about this, about leaking confidential information, that he immediately leaked the very same information to us, the MSM! And we perfectly agree, that is an absolute no-go! Just imagine what could happen if the wrong guys got to know that highly confidential information! You can't just share super-duper-highly-confidential information with someone! Our outrage about this is so honest that now we ourselfes are going to share the very same highly confidential information with everyone, of course including each and every terrorist in the world! It is:

The terrorists could be considering placing bombs in Laptops in order to carry out terrorist acts on civil flights.

Wow, how secret and confidential is that, eh? Sure, even a toddler could have assumed this from the simple fact that the US just recently forbid using Laptops on civil flights, but still... And that's not the only problem! Somehow, that information could allow the russians inferences about who that information originally came from, and that could be a huuuuge problem, right? Well, we can neither tell how the russians could conclude that, nor, why that would be a such a major problem, but still: It would be a complete disaster if a russian could draw certain conclusions about the origin of that information! Oh, by the way: It was Israel. But if we simply tell the source of the information to everyone, it's something completely different, of course. That's how honest our outrage about this is.

In the future, Israel might no longer share such information with us! Well, they already said that is not going to harm the US-Israel relationship - but of course, we, the MSM, know better, as usual. And should Israel indeed be more cautius about giving confidential information to the US in the future, then it is of course because the POTUS shared that information with a single person, and not because someone in the white house leaked it to the MSM, who immediately leaked the same information to everyone in the world."
