That's kinda my point, isn't it?

Exposure/publicity/investigation is the best way to stop corruption/wrongdoing???

No Bill. Not even close. Just take some time and ponder what that saying can mean.

Oh no we're back to coulds and cans. You're too smart for this dumb Nintendo fan. I'm out.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

Can't imagine them giving handheld gaming another shot without putting some serious muscle/cash behind it. I'm confident we won't see another Playstation handheld.

4 ≈ One

I would, but a repeat performance of the Vita would forever destroy my trust in portable Sony.

While it may be that, people aren't buying it to play it on the go.

Back that up or stop.

On topic:  If Sony could dedicate resources to it, I'd don't see why it couldn't be marginally successful.  I recommended Vita to several people back when it first came out but they started to ignore it too much.  If they can learn from that, put it out there and let the market decide.

The decline in handheld sales should suffice.

Handhelds are dead IMO.

Well I mean the 3ds did fantastic so. even if the DS sold a lot better I wouldn't call 64.3 million sales dead.

exactly. 3DS outsold both the Wii U/XO combined - 66mln vs 45mln

even 3DS/PSV - 81.5mln vs 104mln Wii U/XO/PS4 looks ok

I think a lot of thoae 3DS sales have come from a good chunk of people buying the system several times. In terms of real consumers, I estimate the 3DS market to be around 50M. I am confident that we will see the Switch selling less than the 3DS, continuing the downwards trend.

I agree that a lot of people have more than one 3ds but 50m is still respectable, and idk about the switch like I have no clue to me it could be great or it could just do decent sales but I don't think it's going to flop. I also agree that the handheld market is going down but it's nowhere near to being dead yet.

Switch is not the 3DS ... DS/3DS are declining and Vita died outright because they were too close to mobile gaming.

They're low end devices.

Switch is a portable console, that makes a difference, it's a higher end product. In 3 years IMO Nintendo will have a Switch that can run PS4/XB1 graphics/ports join their Switch family (Tegra Xavier), and they will not have the same decline in years 4/5/6 if they are smart.
