I hope they make splatoon 2 1080p

Great to hear! Now I can't wait to pick this game up!

Looks good. Nice to see when they sometimes think framerate is important.

Like 90% of the time? Everyone knows Nintendo cares about framerate since almost every console game they made is 60fps, but oh wait! Zelda is 30fps with ocasional drops so they definitely don't care... please, you are better than that.

BOTW, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors and games that should be running at 60 but are locked at 30 because looks are more important than gameplay. Nintendo has eroded my trust in them long before BOTW. To be fair, Sony also has a lot to do with my vanished trust in console games proclaiming they have a stable framerate.

That's why I compliment Arms for apparently actually being stable while also not looking terrible. I've also complimented MK8 and Infamous Second Son for their stable performance because credit where credit is due.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Art style is part of the reason why this can reach 1080 60 and still look so good! Wish more games would go for art style over the highest-def in textures.

Nintendo has eroded your trust before BoTW because of 2 games not developed by Nintendo that had variable framerates... I want to think of you as a intelectually honest person but when you say things like this you make it really hard. And please, as mZuzek said, get your facts straight, because those 2 games were not locked at 30 at all and the vast majority of games Nintendo made for WiiU were 60fps.

Viv's a full time troll even when liking something lol, always expect a similar post near the start of most threads.

Otherwise, I'm quite excited for this game. Definitely looks better with each new update :)

I use Fast RMX to show off Switch graphics.

Anyway, this game has slowly evolved from a game I had no intention of playing, even if somebody gave it to me for free, into a game I'll be buying on launch day.

Nice to see Nintendo continuing their commitment to a sexy 60fps in the majority of their games. Dropping to 900p in 2-player splitscreen in order to maintain this was the right choice also. 30fps in 4-player splitscreen is understandable; very few games run at 60fps in 4-player splitscreen.

Also did I hear that right, Nintendo are actually using AA this time around? Hallelujah, its about time!

Best looking so far imo on a graphical sense is Odyssey

Agreed, Odyssey to me looks like it'll be the first game to really show what the Switch can do, kind of like Prime 3 on Wii or Gears of War on 360.

Good choice, probably the best example so far of the system's graphical muscle.

Maybe they are using some AA, but fact is that at higher resolution jaggies are much less noticeable in any case, I was reading comments of people who played MK8 on Wii U and MK8D on Switch, and they are saying that jaggies are much less noticeable on MK8D because 1080p resolution compared to Wii U version of game.

Also after Zelda BotW 900p, Fast RMX 1080p/60fps, MK8D 1080p/60fps and ARMS 1080p/60fps, I relly dont see any reason that Splatoon 2 runs at 720p/60fps in docked mode, hopely at launch Splatoon 2 will have at least 900/60fps.

I also agree that Odysseus will be 1st real showcase for Switch in 1st year.

Aliasing still occurs at 1080p and 900p though, so AA is still important for optimal image quality.

As for Splatoon 2, one would think based on its visuals that it should be at least 900p/60fps, so it is quite weird that the testfire was only 720p/60fps when docked. Perhaps it's because Splatoon is more chaotic than ARMS or MK8, and that at 900p there were some dips during the most intense firefights, so they dropped the res to ensure a locked 60fps.
