Spamming isn't only about the quantity of posts. And if anything, that it could only muster 5 posts a day shows that there really is no need for it. I really think the only reason people want one is a force of habit.

I plan to run a variety of stuff on a weekly basis that will encourage activity - eg, 1st Sunday of every month Topic of the month, 2nd Sunday caption the image, 3rd Sunday etc.

Not only will I make an effort to keep the thread pretty, I will keep thing well organised and edit the thread title daily (depending on news activity) to keep it up-to-date.
