Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Is anyone still mad that Zelda Breath of the Wild released so late?

And considering the success of the Switch launch, your money is far less important than the money of the millions more people who will now be able to buy the game.

This... I read somewhere that BOTW was delayed so much because of problems with the physics engine and to improve the quality of the game overall. They did the right choice imo. If launching a game earlier means a something with worse quality, it's better to delay it as long as it takes.

No beacuse they delayed it for all the right reasons.

To have a good launch game for the Switch?

It's a Zelda game. It gets delayed liek crazy. It was obvious from the beginning. Nintendo does that since decades. Zelda games always get delayed, it's just how things are. Anyone who seriously expected something else was just out of their mind. It's like complaining about the sun setting in the evening. Sure thing, it sucks, but there's nothing you or anyone else could do about it. Yes, not even Nintendo. Zelda games delay themselves, the dark Nintendo overlords have no power about it. Believe it or not. I don't care.

Bold prediction: The next Zelda game will get delayed.

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

I'm not mad, more like "annoyed". Because it feels like it was rather released too early.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I am, but only because if it had released when planned it would have been optimised for the WiiU and I could have accessed my items and map via the GamePad rather than having to constantly pause the game to eat, change clothes etc.

A polished game is better then a half-baked bad game.

No, because I have the game, I've played it, beaten it, and is the best Zelda I've ever played, and a delay helped make it better and very mich worth it in the end.

Yes, cause now we have to wait more for the next zelda.

you realize it would likely have been a lesser game had it been released in liike 2015 or 2016 as you are suggesting. Less polished. The lamest complaint ever anyway would be "omg why didn't it come out in the year where I had more free time?", like seriously,? that's your complaint? ugh.
