Nintendo doing well seems to really upset you.

How are the last four years even relevant for a public statement with regards to this month's NPD results?

Oh you must be one of those touchy Nintendo peeps that thinks everything said about Nintendo that's not glowing praise is a diss on them.

I simply pointed out how now we started getting numbers from them again.... And I personally find it funny (literally funny) when any company (not just nintendo) does what Nintendo is doing now or what ND tends to do. But that's another matter.

Nintendo's back baby!

EDIT:

Oh my God  - "“Nintendo owned the top 2 platforms in unit sales for the month, with the Nintendo Switch at No. 1, followed by NES Classic,” said Piscatella."

Ok? Zelda isnt. And MK is a port with 2 days of sales with excluding digital and P5 is beasting.

KH 1.5+2.5 still going strong. WOO!!!!!!

Nintendo Switch (no digital sales)

1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
3. Lego City Undercover
4. 1-2 Switch

So, is VGC undertracking Lego City or overtracking 1-2 Switch?

Nintendo should share their digital sales with NPD. Would make better PR.

Black Ops 2, a 4.5 year old shooter, sold more in $ than Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1 lmao.

It became backwards compatible in April on XBO so that's probably why the game sold well.

Also happy to see Persona selling well, and FH3 is having good legs.

No numbers for the others?

Most sales happen on the first couple of days.

And while Zelda isn't new, look at the list. See a lot of Switch games in there? All those people who bought the Switch in April before MK8 came out, they must have bought a game, right? So they bought Zelda. I think it's a brilliant strategy by Nintendo.

Bolded is laughably untrue when it comes to Mario Kart.

Regarding underlined, I agree. Releasing games people want to play is a great strategy. Something Nintendo learned from the 3DS and Wii U which launched with games people did not want to play.
