Switch has no BC, is currently expensive as a handheld console only and its software has home console games prices ( albeit it offers premium experience but still  its price is fairly high for someone  who plays on handheld console only ) , has no handheld console ip yet, also  is not so portable, and not much durable in abusing by kids ( if they break it down parents will have to expend again 30.000 yen, will they? )   , therefore 3DS is benefited...

You will see a kaput in the next week for 3DS though, the usual huge drop after golden week but plus the anticipation of the best designed 3DS ever/

( a leightweight, smaller, thinner, sexier New 3ds XL without the 3D effect  at 15.000 yen with a charger, New 2DS XL )

The main seller of the 3DS family is New 3ds xl and cost 20.000 yen without a charger! So new 2ds xl saves you money.

So far, it is dominating Japan. Nothing comes close, except 3DS.

I've seen it more than once lately, people just making these random statements while this website provides sales figures. 

Also, I see total Nintendo domination for software and hardware in these charts, yet the Sony fanboys are feasting in this thread.

Not just that, but it seems that Switch will keep 40-50k baseline until Splatoon 2, and when Splatoon2 arives we can only hope that Nintendo will have enuf units of Switch. :)
