I hope Argentina get better results this time... with England and France on the same group it won´t be easy

Rugby is such exciting sport to watch, but in my country it is pratically unknown. If a team in our region is successfull, maybe people will pay more attention to this game.

Imagine if the USA played rugby instead of a bastardized version of the game.

Then They would probably be the best team in the world :P

Edit: Well they do play, it's just not very popular.

It would be nice if Brazil were more into rugby, then Argentina would have someone close to home that they could play.

Oh and don't forget that Fiji, USA and Tonga have all qualified now.

Yeah... this is a huge country with lots of potential in this sport - it wouldn´t be hard to get huge crowds of fans if advertised properly... but there´s a lot of strange things in our sposts media & culture here. People normally see sports more like hobbies or simple pastimes than professional entertainment.

Another sport that is huge in NZ and could be big here is netball. Argentina also already have a national netball team but there´s no one to compete with them in this subcontinent.

The Sapporo dome will host games in this competition. Talk about a very versatile stadium (soccer, baseball, rugby....)

So do you live in Brazil or Argentina? Because I know in some parts of Argentina there are a decent amount of Rugby followers.

I live in  Brazil. We have some teams and a national championship, but in Argentina, support for rugby is definetely much bigger, they have a lot of pride for their team.

Rugby is still sort of a niche sport here. Our Rugby7 women´s team has caught some media attention, due to the olympics last year, but only briefly.

Easy draw for Ireland
