Because Nintendo do? The fact that they only ever released Gameboy sales including the Colour rather than separating them kind of suggests that they considered them as one platform. |
I wonder why they did that, though.

Nintendo always does this with their stock. That excuse is getting old. Either way Sony is still doing great with all the new system Switch buzz. Stevie Wondet can see that lol |
Does what with their stock?

They did that because they weren't expecting GBA to be delayed so badly so were already lumping their sales together early on expecting GBA to come out soon, when the GBA got delayed GBC became its own platform even though they were already lumping the sales together.

How is the word arguing something to get upset over explain? Presenting a scenario is presenting an argument or debate. |
Why do you think it upset me? I was just addressing what seemed to be a misunderstanding on your part. You're talking with multiple people, so I thought you might have confused me with someone else since you said I was arguing about how they are defined, but I didn't define it at all. I just didn't fully understand your position, and an answer to how you think those scenarios interact would add clarification.
I don't care enough to defend or dispute a definition for what a generation is, I just like understanding everyone else's.

The post came across as if you felt you were being acused of something, presenting an example is presenting an argument even for curiousity which is not a bad thing.

With how my month has been, you could have been accusing me of eating puppies and I'd have been apathetic :p I think we'll have to agree to disagree on the latter point though. We're quite good at that haha
