Forums - Gaming Discussion - Playtonic's next Kickstarter?

Would you back another Kickstarter campaign for Playtonic?

Yes 18 27.27%

No 19 28.79%

Depends on what the game is 29 43.94%

Total:66

Well they gave what they said they would and the game plays.

Hmm......ask me after it comes out on Switch.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Playtonic definitely has potential, I mean the studio's foundation is basically made up of the old Rare team and we can't just overlook what they've managed to achieve in the past.

The dream scenario would be for Nintendo to lend them an IP and a budget to see if they still have what made Rare so great in the past. I mean I would certainly not mind to see their take at a Diddy Kong Racing sequel.

Yooka Laylee was pretty much what the developers promised, it would depend on their next game but I wouldn't oppose backing their next game if it was something I was interested in.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

If I'm not mistaken Playtonic already unveiled the outlines of the main protagonists for their next two games, but I don't think they ever gave any updates afterwards

I'm ready for Mighty No. 10.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Couldn't they pay for the developement themselves with the profits Yooka Laylee brought them? After the crowfunding they still sold the game, so that profit has to count for something.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

The dream scenario for me would be Nintendo actually making them second party and letting them do their thing with DK IP and Yooka etc. It would be like the N64 all over again.

If they ditch Unity

Yooka Laylee was fine... but Id like them to step things up a notch if they do another like it, via kickstarter.

My brother backed that.... damn we where so dissapointed.

I only played it for like 15-20mins.

He played it longer, like a few days, but yeah he was let down too.

Give me a Conker game (or a Conker like game) and I'll throw in $200. Make it only for the backers too, because F*** everyone who complained about Yooka-Laylee.
