So going to go with.. no.

edit" oh and let's include this

Persona 4: 2008.   Persona 4 golden: 2012.  Persona 5 (JP)" 2016.

That is FOUR years. And you expect it.. end of this year? really?

Maybe 2020 - if lucky.

They should have released a perfectly optimised Persona 4 Golden for Vita in mid 2009. It would have been 2 1/2 years before PS Vita released but that would have been nice!

Don't take my post too serious, I just thought that this would be also a reason releasing that late regardless of if Switch will ever get that game which will be probably not the case.

Pretty sure it can run on the Vita with some graphical compromisses, as it's a PS3 game on its core.
And if its going to take a while like the other portable versions, a new PS handheld could easily hand it as an enhanced version compared to the PS3 version, and closer to the PS4, so they would likely pick it as well, the question is, will Sony even make another handheld? If the answer is no and there is no deal between Sony and Atlus for exclusivity, it can surely land on the Switch.

Oh I'm sure they could get it to run on Vita. But if they follow their pattern for portable Persona ports, then P5 Portable may not come out for a few more years. At that point I'm not sure they would be interested in supporting the Vita. And so far it doesn't sound like Sony will make another portable. Asuming they don't, Switch may be the more attractive option.

Yeah, that's what I said, if it takes a while it would have to land on a new PS handheld if there is one, otherwise if there is no deal between Sony and Atlus/Sega and this handheld doesn't come, it could land on the Switch, indeed.
I think it's more likely we get a goty/complete edition for the PS4 itself in the near future, just like FES.

Persona 3 Portable came out 3 years after the PS2 version and Persona 4 Golden 4 years. I don't think Atlus should feel pressed in time to release a new version of Persona 5. There's really no reason to rush it.

Especially with the massive growth P5 is showing for the series. They should let that sell for 2 years before releasing a new version.

Port begging thread aka prediction thread. Nice. Without valid sources it cant be said about its new release.

I doubt it, but I'll gladly double dip if it happens.

Triple dip, you mean.

I thought you guys say NIntendo is too good for third parties and don't need them.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. Though in this day and age, hopefully that would be offered as an add-on DLC as well.

The closest comparison is DIsgaea 5. Even then you have to take into account

1) That was about a year and a half wait. From end of 2015 to middle of 2017.

2) Disgaea 1 was on the DS. So the main series had some basis for being on a Nintendo system.

3) Nis america never said their games weren't going somewhere.

1.) Disgaea 5 released 2 years before Switch came out. That's the reason why it took so long.
Persona 5 released  6 months before Switch came out. (In Japan). So a port could come out quicker based on that reasoning. However, Atlus tend to take a few years with their portable Persona games. That's a more proper reason to believe it'll take some years to hit Switch.

2.) That may not be important here. Kingdom Hearts has never been on a Mictrosoft system. But KH3 is planned to release on Xbox One, etc.

3.) Have Atlus said that about Persona?

3) I posted the tweet earlier. "Persona 5 platforms: PS3, PS4. THAT'S. IT. No Switch. No PC." That is as definite as you can get. None of this "we will see" or "we are hoping for it" or "we are open to it".

Very likely, P5 is already getting quite a bit of stuff as online add-on, even the japanese original voices are available as a add-on.
