You do need an email, but you don't need to verify right away to use VGC, so you could just use a filler email and be good to go :/

The same thing happened to me! My original account was Oheao, but I couldn't access my email to confirm it, so I had to make a new account months later, which was this one.

Probably many of us. I originally joined as Nanaki XII in December of 2007 and was locked out of my account and the password reset feature never worked at the time. I created this account in December 2008. Unfortunately someone stole the name of NanakiXIII that I wanted a few months before and never even used or posted with it. Which is why I'm stuck with NanakiXI since then haha.

On another note, I can't believe it almost decade since I first signed up and about 11-12 years when I started first lurking.
