It was a huge seller at my store. I was really surprised. We did have the Cubs win the world series last year so maybe baseball is just really big right now here. I was still surprised though as we are still selling a good amount of games.

Nintendo didn't give any official price for europe (probably because of the many different currencies), the 30€ surplus compared to the US is just the retailers wanting more profit

Switch beats PS4 which is what i have been expecting for a while (though still great sales for PS4 not that behind from the Switch and very consistent), also i see PS3 finally passes the Wii U again.

I recently see that the New color sheme MK7 2DS BLUE/RED and black/galaxy style New 3ds xl are finally again available online at gamestop/bestbuy, amazon though has only Pikachu New 3ds xl  edtion from a third party at 240$...

 

Nevertheless, I'm sure  that as of mid April, 3DS was scarce because Pikachu new 3ds xl edition was sold out everywhere ( well that from the first days of march ) and  all the other models still had the prompt ''check in stores''...

That's for the USA...

 

I don't have any official source for EU to be honest, only a plethora of complaints on gaf!

Also  there is compelling evidence,  3DS sold through 1.25m in FY16/17 Q3  260k more than the same quarter in previous fiscal year, why 3DS that sold 350k FY 15/16 Q4 OR CYQ1,  suddenly sells  215k ( according to vgc ) Jan- March 2017 , following the considerable yoy/qyoy sales growth? ( These FY data are from Nintendo IR site and president presentation ) 

Hence either undertracked or more possible that what happened with 3DS stock thanks to Pokemon GO and Pokemon S/M on holidays ensued in Europe too..;)
