I think it sold around 25m.

OK so Peter Moore is the genius that took xbox 360 to the dining table with the big boys. He deserves massive credit by the sounds of it. Any idea why he left the company for EA?

$550k a year probably had something to do with it

In hindsight it would have been worth it for MS to pay him $5million a year to stay.

He wanted to live near his family in California and that wasn't possible with Xbox since they're headquarted in Washington.

That's very unfortunate for MS.

Nope. The one prior to Mattrick was the best. Whoever was responsible for overseeing the original Xbox and launch era 360 Xbox was the best they've had.

I had nothing agaisnt Dons vision. If it went his way we would have gotten a digital world like Steam with no Discs required and newer innovation with Kinect 2.0. Unfortunately now, all we have is two identical consoles that offer nothing but the same things apart from there 1st games.
1 main reason i like the Switch is because its different and is taking risks. Now consoles are just PCs with paywalls. As a PC gamer, consoles (aside from the Switch) dont interest me anymore.
No risk taking from Sony or MS. Just heres more power.

You really can't expect too much from Phil Spencer. That poor guy has to clean up the gigantic mess that Mattrick left. He'll get his chance next gen, but right now, he can't do more than damage control.

Don Mattrick was just horrible. Microsoft worked for a whole decade to build up their brand and it was an uphill battle. They invested countless billions to get a foot in the console market and to be able to compete with Sony. They finally did it and Don Mattrick destroyed all of it in mere days.

impossible. because everything MS did wrong this gen was because of Matrick, even though he has been gone for about 4 years now.

True, but Spencer needs to start believing in what traditional console development can do. The reason why he lags behind the competition in development is because they are not as invested in the creative aspect. They pay or acquire people for the work, which is hit or miss at best and has proven to be such. They did the same thing under Mattrick, but I like Phil. I just dont like hearing that they are steering into the service model over single player games. This going to hurt them. Microsoft needs studios that will obey their will, not to commission people who make IP's they cannot control. Gears, Forza and Halo are a great indicator of why this is so important.

Mattrick for sure.
Neither probably had any real say how things played out in the end but...since I have to pick one, I say Mattrick based solely on the fact Xbox was a lot more ambititious back then compared to what we have now.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

i was being sarcastic. there are tons of people who blame everything MS has done wrong this gen on martick, when he has been out since the very start.  Matrick left MS before the xbox one even RELEASED.

It hink its because he was around during the development of Xbox One.
