Disgusting? What did I do to you!? xD

Depends what product you are getting, but they are awesome.
I do know a few people like yourself who hate the texture... poor souls.

Like few have mentioned it's great by itself if it's not a bland unripe tomato.
Still would love to have some gazapacho or pipirrana right now, yamyam, or even a classic BLT!

Smash that tomato!

yes!!! i mean yuck!!!

My buddy grows 40 acres of tomatoes. I worked for his parents/with him a few years on their farm when I was younger, during the summer. They always tried to give me tonnes of tomatoes but I only ever took a few because dad was the only one who liked them, and he loved them. Mom would cut some up and put it in pasta, which was fine, but otherwise my mom, brother, nor I, could stand tomatoes. Just didn't like the taste at all.
That all changed once I finished college and got a full time job. Being picky about what I ate left me having to make my own meals at home. Coming home dead tired with little ambition to spare, I learned to like the things I hated to eat very quickly. lol. There isn't much I wont eat nowadays, and truthfully, I don't really mind the taste of things like tomatoes anymore. Tomato, Tomahtoe I guess.

I like them as an ingredient for things (burgers, tacos, etc), but by themselves they don't taste good

The real question though, do you call it tomayto or tomahto?

I eat tomatoes plain. Love 'em with a passion.

I used to love tomatoes as one of my favorites foods, but that is because I ate some real tomatoes.

Nowadays american tomatoes are bland and lack in almost everything. Still can't go wrong with some of my other favorite tomato foods like Pizza, Salsa, Lasagna, and the list goes on.

This is a real issue. OP is too young and that's why I understand his problems with tomatoes. Tomatoes used to taste great each time I bought them. Nowadays, 9 out 10 tomatoes suck. They lost their intense taste.

Humans ruined its taste!

Organically grown cherry tomatoes are still great though. They taste great, 10 out 10!

We grow our own tomatoes. Red, yellow, orange and black ones. I love 'em.

If you've only ever eaten shitty factory tomatoes, well... You're missing out.

How and where do you grow them? Can you grow them all year long?

2 weeks late? :O

Greenhouse in Sweden. We raise them during spring and harvest through july and august, depending on the weather. The greenhouse basically just enhances whatever the weather is currenty, we can't have anything there during winter. Only the grape vines (the right wall and the entire roof are covered in them) are strong enough to sit there all year around (but ofc dormant in the cold).
