Some mp games sell better not all.

I am positive I said that. Didn't I say that? I'm sure I said that.

Then you have single player games like Bloodborne, Fallout, Skyrim, Witcher 3, Uncharted 4 etc that all sold really well thanks to their sp campaigns.

Which contradicts nothing I said.
With that, Grand Theft Auto 5's long last success can be attributed to it's multiplayer component.
Minecraft wouldn't be as popular if you couldn't play it with friends.
Would Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield exploded the way they did if it wasn't for online?

A game will sell well whether it's mp or sp focused based on the quality and marketing it receives.

The most popular games in the industry are Multiplayer focused games like League of Legends.
Note: That doesn't mean a singleplayer game will not sell well. I never said they wouldn't.

The problem at hand is that Xbox fans are not supporting exclusives as much as they should (and the Xbox One is outselling the 360), let alone single player exclusives. This time last gen (third year)Halo was selling record breaking numbers. Its not all Phils fault. The guy tried. He got Ryse, Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break and the fans did not respond promptly like all the other fans did of other brands to single player experiences.

Those games haven't really had the "Halo effect" though. Not sure why.
Horizon and Zelda did, people wen't spastic over it, Youtube blew up... The internet was talking about those games.

Truth and we as fans win in the end becaue well..more games for us. I want Microsoft to succeed. Spencer is great, but the Xbox Division is a hard ship to steer when you have competition like Sony and Nintendo.

The annoying part is, they don't need to sink $100+ million on every exclusive. Nintendo sure as hell dont!
I think in general everyone should hope for every platform to succeed, competition is a great thing, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have all done some amazing things for console gaming in general, all three have dropped the ball at various points.
With that, talking and constructive criticism isn't a bad thing either.

Phils latest comments about single player games lacking impact (on sales) erked me.

He did iterate that he does prefer single player experiences himself. But he is trying to make money, Microsoft is a business, so they need to go where the money is.
sethnintendo said: I honestly don't even see any possibility of scorpio changing anything for Microsoft. It will be like PS4 Pro. Some initial hype then no one giving a shit about it. |
This is was always going to be the way it would turn out though.
Scorpio and the Playstation 4 Pro weren't supposed to be massive sellers. They are priced higher afterall, consumers tend to always drift towards cheaper products in a product lineup.

I think their most appreciated experiences have been cinematic focused. I really don't understand the hype of Uncharted 4 but I enjoyed for story more than gameplay. On the otherhand, I find Xbox games more enjoyable from a gameplay focus.
Eitherway, I own both and I don't really bitch about either. But Sony flatout isn't appealing in various genres and vice versa.

Never been a fan of Uncharted myself either. I hated the Zombie story arc and the breaking ladders. So many breaking ladders.
ROBOTECHHEAVEN said: The op is such full of shit, don't know where to start, except the fact he hates xbox and phil. |
He never stated he hated either?
You do not have to agree with someone's opinion, but you should respect their right to make it.
