Tbh I think after the Scorpio it may be it for him as tbh I don't see it having that big an impact as what some are expecting, it'll be like the PS4 Pro a passing day dream before things return to normal. His comments on single player games when trying to use HZD and BOTW as examples came across as being a bit out of touch as those two game prove the opposite of what he was trying to say.

I honestly don't even see any possibility of scorpio changing anything for Microsoft. It will be like PS4 Pro. Some initial hype then no one giving a shit about it.

I think their most appreciated experiences have been cinematic focused. I really don't understand the hype of Uncharted 4 but I enjoyed for story more than gameplay. On the otherhand, I find Xbox games more enjoyable from a gameplay focus.

Eitherway, I own both and I don't really bitch about either. But Sony flatout isn't appealing in various genres and vice versa.

Oh, Scorpio will get a lot more attention than PS4 Pro. Especially if they treat it like reboot/new console at E3. But sales will also depend on that launch price.

PS4 Pro was a missed opportunity. Sony did a great job designing the original PS4 but their mid gen upgrade feels almost unnecessary.

The most popular games in the industry are Multiplayer focused games like League of Legends.
Note: That doesn't mean a singleplayer game will not sell well. I never said they wouldn't.

Those games haven't really had the "Halo effect" though. Not sure why.

I think in general everyone should hope for every platform to succeed, competition is a great thing, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have all done some amazing things for console gaming in general, all three have dropped the ball at various points.

With that, talking and constructive criticism isn't a bad thing either.

He did iterate that he does prefer single player experiences himself. But he is trying to make money, Microsoft is a business, so they need to go where the money is.

Scorpio and the Playstation 4 Pro weren't supposed to be massive sellers. They are priced higher afterall, consumers tend to always drift towards cheaper products in a product lineup.

It's obvious not a Damn person in this thread actually read or understood phil Spencer comments about single player games. He said they are basically a dying breed , where getting gems like zelda or horizon are not the norm anymore and he is right. He also never said anything about xbox not getting anymore of those games. Ppl are just making crap up to suits their agenda towards xbox and phil.
