Don't see how it couldn't take #1. Nothing else big released in April, and I can't think of any particularly big sales/price drops for older games last month. 

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold really well at launch.

Forgot about Mario Kart. It did 459k physical + digital first week. Is Nintendo one of the publishers that gives digital numbers to NPD? If not, I still think Persona 5 will take it, it released earlier in the month and had alot of preorders built up over the years from the multiple delays. 

I don't think Nintendo gives digital numbers.

But it's normal, the game is not translated except in english, so a lot of ppl don't buy it here.
