Too many options in poll to be humorous.

Disagree as 'teh cloud' was intended to be part of their digital only infrastructure and delivery. With some focus on improvement by streaming the content (think onlive).

Scorpio is no different than a new console or revision like PS4Pro or New3DS/2DS. It is gaining an improvement in capability by improving the hardware directly, not software via internet based hardware.

People buying scorpio to replace their current XBoxOne can be argued to be making poor purchasing decisions. But those are the same poor decisions people make who buy exclusive editions of what they already have, buy New3DS or PS4Pro when they already have a 3DS or PS4. To me, those are all not worth the money as the differences are marginal at best.

I fully expect Nintendo to do the same with Switch in a couple years. I'll skip that version and wait at least for the next revision (maybe 4 years out) that would be more inline with a typical break in console "generations". However, maybe I'm being a hypocrite as I routinely buy a new smartphone every two years, full cost / no contract bs.

your hair and nails has living cells in it and it doesn't hurt while is being cut off. don't know about the moose though...

When fully developed, antlers are dead bone without a horn or skin covering. Not so during the growing process tough, then the cells are alive. Hair and nails only grow at the base, the part you see are dead cells.

i stand corrected... i don't know why, but i though that at least hair had living cells where we cut it... must be those shampoo comercials... but no, i did google it and you are right. just alive in the folliclle.

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4

Microsoft doesn't care about console sales. They care about how many people are using Windows or Xbox Live. They've given up on dominating the console market. The Xbox brand of console serves only as a way to get people to buy their services. This is why MS moved all their exclusives to PC. They want to rent you games and services, not sell you games and consoles. This is why they tried to do away with being able to trade/sell games. The whole "always online" fiasco was a scheme to force people to pay for Xbox Live.

Scorpio isn't a desperate attempt to recapture the console market via more powerful hardware. It's just a sub premium option for their users. Ultimately they want you gaming on a Windows PC, but if they can't have that they'll settle for you gaming on an Xbox.

They care about making you pay for Live, so they want you to leave the closed console market where every fanbase now pays for online and move to PC where they have to combat Steam and online play is free? Doesn't make much sense.

I think they realize there is not much overlap between the console and PC market at all and that they can put their games on both of their platforms and it won't make a lick of difference to the general consumer. They see how much games as a service prints money on consoles and want to try and get into that on PC, so why not put all their games on the store in Windows. The big departure for MS this gen hasn't been putting their games on PC, it's been them shifting almost all of their games to the games as a service model.

But they definitely want you gaming on a console over PC. There is much much more money to be made on consoles. Yeah, they lose money on hardware for awhile, but on the flip side how popular is their PC store? Console wins.
