Back in the day, TEH CLOUD power boost XBO and its games would get were all the talk around MS new device, as we know it turned out to never happen as expected, but not only it didn't happen, they are now actually selling it as another piece of hardware, with very likely a premium price, to deliver what they told the Cloud would do to the XBO just by connecting into the internet.
Even the power boost matches, the Cloud was once told to make the XBO around or more than 4x more powerful than it is, and the Scorpio specs are just around that.

I fail to see how any XBO owner can be happy about Scorpio existence, actually the opposite should be the case, it may be a new entry point for newcomers, but it's definitely a scam towards people that fell for that talk, and now will have to buy another costly device which is the complete opposite to what the Cloud promisse once was, it's actually so ironical it's not even just sad, honestly.

Go drunk, you are home

I was wondering about that for Crackdown 3, if the Scorpio version would just be able to render it instead of relying on the cloud like the vanilla XB1 would. I'm not sure if the Scorpio's meant to replace the idea of the cloud, though.

Fun fact: The cells that make up the antlers of a moose are the fastest growing animal cells in nature.

I don't think any sane person, or at least any person that has even basic technological knowledge, believed Microsoft's claims about the cloud. Internet latency is just too high for the vast majority of the gaming population for cloud gaming on that level to have been feasible this generation. MS does use it to boost a few things that aren't as latency dependent in certain first party games (the upcoming Crackdown 3 will use the cloud to boost physics effects in the multiplayer mode only for instance), but the 4x power thing was never going to happen.

That being said, I don't have any issues with Scorpio replacing the cloud as you say, because I know that the whole cloud initiative began under Mattrick's reign, not Spencer. Notice how MS almost entirely stopped talking about the cloud after Spencer took over. I dislike Spencer for alot of reasons, but I won't hold something his predecessor did against him.

I think you just cracked a joke you didn't notice there.

You could have just typed "Boo hoo! Wah wah! I lost my binky!" and saved yourself and us a lot of time.

Of course YOU wouldn't be happy if you were an Xbox owner: you don't seem to be happy PERIOD.

So, those are living cells? That sounds like it'd be painful getting cut off!

Hey, I'm a pretty happy person!

You're overanalyzing it.
