Nobody cares, Ps4 is ahead WW does not matter if was only at Japan or India it is ahead and will keep being ahead at least until March 31st 2018, whatever you say is irrelevant after this post.

well people should care because it is the most accurate way to compare them.
PS2 is ahead in each major region launches aligned and gglobally ahead by about 7 million.

Given this is a sales forum, i imagine at least a few people care :p I know i'd personally consider an aligned comparison more useful than a strict one.

exactly, comapring it the way most people are doing skews it into a false trajectory.
with that said, im not trying to take anything away from it, PS4 is clearly doing great and will likely finish as the 2nd best selling home console of all time (3rd or 4th when including handhelds).

Well... whether or not it matters depends on your goal.
If the PS4 being ahead of the PS2 makes you personally happy, then feel free to count from wherever you want.
If you are trying to make accurate predictions about the PS4's future sales trajectory, then 7 months of sales in the two largest regions is actually really important. If you don't take that into account, then you wind up saying silly things like the PS4 will keep pace with the PS2 to 100 million.

it will, until March 2018 it will be ahead, whatever you guys say is irrelevant, facts don´t lie, Ps4 will keep Ps2 pace until 100m.
