After all the shit with Zelda he probably gave this a 9 so people can say that he was never hating, but he was, and is pretty suspicious the fact that he confessed he disliked the Mario Kart franchise and even gave Mario Kart 7 a 5/10, but now suddenly he loves it...

It's honestly starting to get quite ridiculous how far people will go to try and justify that he still has some nefarious anti-Nintendo bias. Over the last few years he's given Majora's Mask 3D, Hyrule Warriors Legends and Smash Bros. for WiiU a 9.5, he gave Xenoblade Chronicles X, Kirby: Planet Robobot and Super Mario Maker a 9, but because he didn't quite like the new Zelda as much as people wanted he's now a Nintendo hater.

So he gets shit for Zelda score because it was too low and now he gets shit for the MK score because it's suspiciously high. He can't get a break from the conspiracy corps, it seems.

The fact that he gave all those games a way superior score than BoTW should be enough for anyone to suspect something is wrong, but yeah, let's pretend that review had nothing strange going on.

I don't really need to pretend that there's nothing strange with the review. I've read it a few times, and whether you agree with it or not is entirely up to you, but it's still just his personal opinion about the game, which he is entirely entitled to. It doesn't take anything away from your personal enjoyment of the game, so why do you care what he says about the game?

Of course it doesn't take anything away from my personal enjoyment, that doesn't mean I have to act like nothing strange happened.
