Usually sales decrease before golden week hence why I'd like to know what caused the bump.

And switch sold all it could supply.  You can claim dissapointment in Nintendo for not supplying more but you can't be dissapointed in the console itself.

Disappointment because Splatoon demo sold 70k too.

My point is: even Vita and Wii U increased over last week. Maybe is just a normal bump. Is good for PS4 to go back to 20k~, but I don't think is anything special. Just the normal base

Exile Election released for PS4 this week. I mean, it didn't chart, but people clearly bought the console for it!

I assume we are going to start seeing people wait out for the New 2DS XL, to save money (50$ + 10$ charger).

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

But it's at 25k..

I don't see any reason for the increase though so below 20k should come back soon (after next week) and until the end of May where a couple of games should bring it up but then after Tekken 7 it's pretty much dead until Gundam Versus in early July. There's a steady flow of games after Gundam but the next two months are pretty barren.

Effect of pre golden week maybe? Nothing special this week. Even Switch was kinda dissappoitment

In the past, the week prior to Golden Week usually slumped, not increased.

Anyhow, Famitsu before Media Create today, Kres? That's different.

There is no Media Create this week, because reasons...

It's holidays in Japan. I don't know why Famitsu always reports on time, but Media Create takes their days off when they can.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Vita and Wii U also had a bump.

That still doesn't answer my question of why ps4 got a sizable bump.

One to two days of Golden week. Which means two days of better sales

The 3DS biggest threat....another portable, The Switch.

Who would have thought

But the 3DS is basically even YOY, and only down a little bit YTD -- due to its performance in the first two months, not since the Switch launched.

The Wii U (naturally) and the Vita are the systems that seem to be dropping hard.

No, Splatoon demo did not sold 70k but in that week Nintendo managed to ship more units of Switch. Switch is still heavily supply constrained and constantly its sold out everything Nintendo currently manage to ship in week.
