Forums - NSFW Discussion - What's the most disturbing thing you've ever seen?

Well, that question may be a bit hard to answer, especially considering the creation of the internet. So, I guess I'll put mine into two parts:

1. In terms of the internet, I stay away from certain subjects. Obviously child porn is somewhere that I don't go anywhere near, and I avoid snuff films too. However, that hasn't stopped things from slipping through. Thankfully I've seen none of the latter, but on the internet one of the worst things that I saw was probably someone getting axed in the head, or a Saudi execution (which is done by beheading if you were unaware). I've probably seen other things too, but those stand out to me. I've also read some things by white supremacists, Nazis and murderers that have not been very good. I've seen some weird ramblings by those types of guys.

2. Speaking of real life, I have fortunately gotten off a lot more easily, because I can tolerate violence a lot less in real life. While it may disturb me to see killings on a screen, if I saw one in real life I'd probably pass out. Maybe seeing someone die while I was at Harvey's one time? I don't know. It's good that I haven't seen as much in that respect.

So, what about you guys?

2. In real life, lots of things, but I'll choose one recent example. I once saw a woman who was walking two dogs get hit by a car that wasn't paying attention and drove up onto the sidewalk.  She was thrown and her head smashed into a concrete planter.  This eventually led to her lying on the concrete with her head bleeding.  We tried to help her, and the 911 response came quickly.  One of the poor dogs was writhing in pain in the middle of the street until we managed to get a hold of it and get it to lie down.  The other dog was ok.  They tried to save the woman but she never woke up again and was pronounced dead a week later. A vet charity also tried to save the dog but it eventually died, too.

That sounds horrible!

The fact that I don't remember anything probably means that it must've been pretty traumatic.

In real life, as a cop I saw some brutal stuff. Probably car accidents involving children.

On the internet, a guy getting burned alive. He was handsome and healthy one minute. Then, a crowd poured a chemical on him and stood around as he stand and begged for help. Skin melted off as he tried to fight for his life. Then, he just gave up and died.

I hope that wasn't a suicide attempt!

I've seen alot of stuff that comes from Japan that is either fascinating or very disturbing. They have a very strange culture.

Out of all the things I've seen, I would have to say that the rise of PC culture is probably the most disturbing thing I've seen.

No, it wasn't, it was a "cry for help" kinda deal. That was nearly 6 years ago though, and I haven't self-injured since. That incident shocked me into quitting.

Sorry to get all heavy; I put the original post in spoiler tags cos I figured it'd be a bit much for some people.
