She's got a few miles on her, but she's a classic!

Reggie purposely not looking at the obvious in regards to 2ds to 3ds sales ratio:

2ds wasn't available in Japan for a long time

2ds lacks clamshell design

2ds wasn't available for a good while and wasn't the steal it is today in regards to price

2ds, until now, has lacked the extra power and controls of New 3ds

Reggie, nobody uses 3D on the 3DS. It's awful and pointless.

The 2DS exists because Nintendo understands that there still a market for a less expensive handheld. That's really it.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

The 3D effect isn't that bad. I use it all the time. It's just nothing to write home about either. It's just sorta "neat".

It looks best on A Link Between Worlds to me. I only turn it off if I really need to conserve battery.

It's the Toyota Corolla of handheld gaming. It just kinda gets the job done and isn't too expensive.

I like the 3D effect in almost all games and I use it as often as possible. I also use it on games that don't even really need it like Bravely Default or Project X Zone 2. Only shut it off when playing Metroid Prime Federation Force because the action is too intense and you have to move the 3DS around quite often.

I'm fine with it being for 4,5,6,7 year olds.

2DS is good enough for them, it gets them introduced to all the Nintendo IP, they don't need a $300 game machine that's so powerful it needs to be actively cooled even in portable mode.

There are plenty of back catalog 3DS and DS games that are perfectly fine to play and enjoy for a say 6 year old, what does a 6 year old care if the game came out 4 years ago or last month.

I've been gaming since the early 80's and the 2DS is good enough for me. When you grow up on the original Gameboy, you can handle the 2DS just fine.

He literally said it is for toddlers.

That's what i always thought too. I don't miss 3D on the NS, but it worked wel enough to use when i could.
