Indeed. Also, if I play FF7 on PS4, this is, I suppose, also emulation, right?
In that subject, there are dozens of PS1 rpgs that I would like to play, but I sold my PS3. So, how could we talk Sony into bringging PS1 emulation into the PS4, and, of course, selling the rpgs on PSN?
Suikoden 1,2 LoftheD, Saga Frontier, Brigandine, Tales... So many I would love to play.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

We are having a discussion about it in the mod thread, just talk there

We could, or we could kick up the same amount of fuss that keeps seeping into emulation threads

Either way, the piracy talk in emu threads needs to stop, because it adds nothing at all and just serves tod erail the thread and vilify a group.

Piracy shouldn't be something people talk about openly; cool you have the game, now stfu about it. Piracy on new games is bad

Sony will make a lot of money if they release Ps1 games on the PSN. A lot of people do not have any pleasure in emulating, but would love to try a old game. And the Ps1 has so many amazing games.

Emulation is piracy no matter how you spin it. Technically you can't make a copy of your game. Also most people who run emulators wouldn't even own the game.

Do I care? No

Do I feel the need to derail an emulation thread with piracy comments? No

Does a company who made those games care? Perhaps, if they do we will hear about it on the news lol.

I hate to tell ya, but you just did

Like, no matter how many times that is spun, you really just did go out there and do just that. You mentioned what you said you didn't want to.

Well this is a complaint thread about it no so much an emulaiton thread on a game, so stating the obvious. I haven't gone in any of those zelda or persona 5 threads and become an anti piracy warrior lol.

This is the whole point of the thread.

There are individuals who are doing exactly that which of course is against the rules to begin with since they are going off topic.

The emulation thread (unless stated otherwise) isnt about pirating a game but other aspects such as the RPCS3's thread was about running a PS3 emulated game in two different APIs.

Thread was nothing about piracy statistics, companies losing money, etc.

I agree, i looked at the thread that you used as an example.

See there is a connection to all of this. We have one group who is interested in emulation and we have one group that isn't. You'd think that group that isn't at all interested in emus would just not enter said thread right?. Instead we get them entering the thread to take it off course because they don't think it is of any value to discuss, which in of itself is utter bull.

I feel like those interested in taking it off course are those that never liked whatever went on in that realm to begin with and as such want it out of their sight. If they truly didn't, they wouldn't be commenting and they'd let the thread go on as is.
