Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I changed my mind about NS

I need to be honest.
it is a very different console from what Nintendo has done before.

yes it is back to motion control and separate Joy con (like Wii).
yes it still has a separate tablet (like WiiU)

but the whole experience feels different. Internal mechanism have deeply changed. This system is smooth, easy, accessible, user friendly.

Switch!!!

I'm glad you're enjoying the Switch! Zelda doesn't use the HD rumble (not sure about Bomberman?), so don't be disheartened by that - I love it in MK8D.

Cool that you're enjoying the machine and that you picked it up regardless of having your doubts and it sounds like you're giving it a good chance for something you weren't thinking could be a good machine.

Regarding the control of the console, have you tried it with joycons split while docked? that is how I play it when docked, as in, One Joy con per hand but not using the grip to tie them together like a traditional controller, I find it really different and more relaxed than holding hands together on my lap.

Do just be careful if you're putting on those little L/R straps though... if you slide the wrong one on the other Joycon it can be pretty damn hard to slide it back off again, as in put the L grip on the Right joycon, it fits on... but really tough to get back off it.

Interesting, I didn't realize the straps were different for L & R.  I think the straps are reversible and work on either JoyCon, but the danger is if you slide them on in the wrong direction, sliding them on from the bottom instead of from the top.

They're interchangeable.  You just need the plus side facing you for the right joycon, and the minus side facing you for the left.

If I had a switch I would probably try Mario Kart 8 Deluxe ASAP just to see if I actually like the online and see if its actually worth paying for once its no longer free.

Hopefully Nintendo gives users a free period regardless of when they but their Switch. I've been having fun with Mario Kart but it's unstable like nitroglycerin. You never know when it's going to disconnect. I've finished races only for it to have a connection error. It's frustrating.
