Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Are there actually new Switches coming in?

Hey folks. So, it's the last day of April, and for the past couple of weeks or so, I've been going to Nintendo's website, where they have links to six retailers (Amazon, BestBuy, GameStop, Target, WalMart and ToysRUs) to buy the Switch. Whenever I check the links, the Swtch is either sold out both online and at local stores (I live in New England, US), or in the cases of Amazon and, bizzarely, Walmart, being sold at scalper prices. I was wondering if anyone knew if these retailers actually are getting more Switches in stock and they're just being sold out before I could see them in stock, or if Nintendo is having trouble shipping more Switches?

I'm not really looking into buying a Switch right now; I may still wait a few months. But I wanted to get a sense if there is any replenishing going on, or if it's just a long delay.

Pretty sure many have been coming in lately, but they're just selling out fast.

There was a big shipment this past Thursday/Friday for MK8D. Target sold out already?

I guess so, apparently.

Here's the link from Nintendo's website I mentioned earlier:

I guess it really is just selling super-fast.

Nah, Nintendo decided to discontinue the Switch after seeing how successful it is. Like the NES Classic!

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Actually, they decided that bc they realized how beneficial is for the company to go full 3rd Party. A win-win situation!

We reap what we sow

There are like 600 Switch consoles being sold on Amazon right now.

Scalpers are probably camping websites, making it almost impossible for ordinary people to find one that way.

The next shipment I am aware of is Amazon on "first week of May" (though its not confirmed). Unfortunately you just missed the last big shipment which was pretty much everywhere last week (sold out quickly though).

To keep up with things, you can use this tag on gonintendo and see most stock related stories:

I can attest to that. Got mine last friday at my local Walmart ! And I even checked out yesterday to buy an eshop card and the other Switches were all sold.

I'm pretty sure it must be the same in Quebec City too, my neighbor town.

How did you managed to do that? Have you arrived earlier or something? For me is being a pain in the ass trying to find a Switch in a physical store.

They may even use bots that purchase it automatically when it becomes available.
