Usually root for the underdog but I have to go root for the Warriors. Call it spiteful but I don't want Lebron to even get close to MJ's 6 rings as a Bulls fan.

The only beef I have with the Warriors is that they beat my Bulls regular season record of 72-10 only to blow it against Lebron and the Cavs that year in the finals, but overall I have no issue with them. They're a well assembled all around team that you gotta respect, unlike the Cleveland Lebron-iers, with one superstar player and a ring chaser in Love and little else, as they take advantage of a weak Eastern conference aside from maybe the 76ers and Boston, both of which are still very young and in the early stages of development. Warriors also got Steve Kerr as head coach, former player for one of the best and my favorite Bulls team ever, so I'm cool with him winning another ring.

Fun little side note - My sister had a brief fling with Love's cousin Christian, who told her he apparently tried to get in touch with him when he was in town to touch base and hang out and totally ignored him. So I have a feeling he's kind of a self-absorbed jerk; as is Christian somewhat according to my sister. So I wouldn't mind seeing Love lose again as well.

Well, I'd say that spite doesn't make much sense since MJ isn't even close to Bill Russell's 11 rings in himself.

It's not only the rings. Mj postseason stats are by far the best. And he was the best at both ends when he was with the bulls.

Hope Cavs win but I'm not holding my breath. Not even sure I want to bother watching.

I just wanna briefly echo what a few other here have said. I feel so bad for Chris Paul. I've always loved him as a player. He's smart, tough, plays the right way, he's a great leader. I wanted so badly for him to get a championship, I was even willing to root for the Rockets, despite the fact that I dislike Harden greatly. So brutal for CP3 to go down when it really looked like they had the Warriors on the ropes.

I don't even care about the finals really, the team out of the east was gonna get smoked either way facing a healthy Warriors or Rockets team, but the way these WCFs ended….just leaves a bad taste.

Well if the Rockets would have won yesterday the Cavs would have had a very good chance of beating them since Chis Paul would have probably missed most of the finals since the hamstring injury he suffered takes 3 to 4 four weeks to heal.

No I get that, that's why I said "facing a healthy Warriors or Rockets." Obviously the Rockets getting there without the use of CP3 would have changed the math, and made it more competitive, but I was just talking about like prior to events unfolding, nobody would have given the Cavs a shot vs either of these teams. The Rockets probably could still beat the Cavs without CP3, but it would have been a lot more interesting.

Nope, Russell was a far better defender then Jordan plus he was undersized for his position since he only was 6'9".   Plus Russell shut down Chamberlain numerous times despite the fact that Chamberlain was a far superior overall when it comes to overall talent.  The only thing Chamberlain wasn't good at was shooting free throws.  Plus Chamberlains numbers would have been even more ridiculous if he didn't get slowed down by numerous injuries during the later half of his career.

I swear almost every time I flip the channel over to a basketball game it's either a commercial break or someone shooting free throws. I can't stand the fact that teams intentionally foul others.

Well, if players don't wanna get intentionally fouled….maybe don't suck so much at shooting free throws.

Like, that's something that I can't stand. You're supposed to be professionals. You get paid millions of dollars to play the game. You're telling me you can't spend like half an hour a day or something practicing free throws until you can hit them at a respectable clip? I mean come on. It's a fucking free throw. Next to a layup/dunk that's literally the easiest thing you can get on a basketball floor. If you can't be bothered to work on that….shit man, you better Shaq levels of dominant to make me put up with you, and even then I still think it's a joke.
