Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Europe seems to don`t care much about Switch

It was the best selling system just on release, the next week the PS4 was already back to top spot. What can Nintendo do to get Europeans on board? They need some big european hits like Nintendogs, Brain Training, Professor Layton and Animal Crossing to have a chance.

Doomed since 1889

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I mean, it's pretty hard to sell more than you've shipped.

i think it's done pretty well besides the UK. Germany and France had biggest Nintendo launches ever. PS4 may have gone above it again in those countries, but it's Playstation in Europe, so good luck anything staying above it for too long. Since PS first launched, only Wii has stopped it being by far Europe's favourite console, and that was only for two or three years.

And it will sell more when the games come. They seem to have done very well in spacing the games out for this year, it will have a great holiday this year I'm sure

Ship units? Also, MK is the more important franchise in Europe, (for the countries that weren't on board until now), so just wait and see.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

Give this man a job at Nintendo.

Well, PS in EU is like Nintendo in Japan right now.

A handheld gamer only (for now).

Yeah, it seems like Europe is 3rd on the priority list on where Switches go to after Japan and North America.

It's sold out in Germany (at least on Amazon, Media Markt and so on) and if they have nothing to sell then PS4 does obviously sell better. I guess Switch would sell better as PS4 otherwise but also not for long. Like many said already, Europe is Sony territory, many call consoles just Playstation and that's nothing you beat that easy. Pretty much like many say iPad to tablets and automatically buy an iPad as long as they have money for it.
