Forums - General Discussion - Why do I have so much trouble with google chrome?

This is happening constantly. I cannot access the google homepage, or any homepage for that matter. I can access youtube and vgchartz if I have the link, but it loads forever if I just search it. What the heck is going on?

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Chrome isn't very good, that's what's going on. I've tried numerous browsers but still stick with Firefox. I think the Chrome horde must use their browser for other things than I do, because I find it quite worthless.

I have never had any problems with it. keep in mind it can be a pretty heavy duty web browser, so if you often run multiple programs at once or always have a lot of tabs open, then there is your culprit

Same. Browsers may one up each other in speed, overhead, or streamlining, but when it comes to agency and versatility I've found no reason not to stick with Firefox.

I personally love chrome... have you tried reinstalling it?

Opera serves as a very good alternative for Chrome if you don't want to use Firefox.

Ya'll having issues with Chrome are doing it wrong.

Anytime I've ever seen an issue with Chrome, it has been:
1) flash based/aged website (I don't let that ish install)
2) someone installed a bad extension

#2 is actually the most common. Just check your extensions and turn off stuff one at a time until you figure out which one is a bad extension. Then remove it completely and restart chrome.

Except that it is a resource hog and Chrome is the best for anyone who uses a lot of Google services.

Do you have the same problem with any other browsers?

Edit - also anyone with kids. FF and other browsers are definitely not as secure. They can make your life hell with malware in other browsers where Chrome is all extension based which is very easy to debug / remove.
