Saw it a couple of days ago. Didn't expect to like it as much as I did. It had a couple of issues but, at the end if the day, I was smiling my ass off and maybe even a little Misty eyed.

Around the Network

Please bear the late post though, but I would want to point out by sixth weekend or  slightly more Wonder Woman is looking to surpass vol.2's domestic for its similar time-frame. The legs have been insane in comparison to Guardians' vol.2. Just like how Gladiator turned out against Mission Impossible 2 in 2000 as the more well received, the only difference being NA box office is inverse for this case. And which finally implies, WW has a clear shot at surpassing Mary Poppins at domestic.

I laugh more than a few times watching it... and by the end I was all teary eyed.

Any movie thats enjoyable to watch, can make you laugh and cry is a good one.

Its abit differnt than the first, but both are wonderfull movies.

Its weird because Im burnt out on these "super hero" type movies, but Guardians of the Galaxy is the exception to the rule.

Oh look, you guys bumped the thread and I didn't even notice (which is a shame because other people bumping gives me an excuse to keep posting about it!).

...which shouldn't matter, because it doesn't really need to be a competition. They're both great movies and it's good to see them both being smash hits as they deserve. If anything, stuff like Force Awakens is there to prove that box office numbers can be quite meaningless.

Then again Guardians of the Galaxy is hardly a superhero movie (any more than it is a space opera, at least). I mean, sure both movies have their superhero-ish moments (particularly the final battles), but for the most part it does feel very distinct from pretty much everything else in its category.

As for myself, I'm having a really tough time now. It's been 5 weeks since the last time I watched the it (hasn't been in theaters here since), and for a good chunk of those weeks (particularly post-E3) I was handling it just fine... but I don't know what happened, in the last few days I just can't stop thinking about it again, and it's making me feel like shit because well, I can't watch the movie at all.

It's actually having quite a negative impact on other stuff, too. I mean, I think this is the first time a new Marvel movie comes out and I don't even care because I'm still thinking about the previous one (recently, at least - I didn't care much about the MCU before 2014 or so), and even other stuff I end up watching I just can't bring myself to enjoy (as was the case with Okja, a perfectly fine movie I disliked just because I'm not in the mood), and even games have suffered a bit to a lesser degree. I mean, right now I'm not even too hyped about Breath of the Wild (though I am playing it daily because of the DLC) - despite it being my most anticipated game ever, and having delivered on all fronts and stuff, even that's been overshadowed completely.

So yeah, I just kinda wanted to put that out. If it sounds unhealthy, don't worry, I know it is, but at this point I feel like this disease I can't cure.

At least they announced when the Blu-Ray and stuff is coming out... then again it's still about 7 weeks away, so I'm not sure how well I can hold it until then (I'm doing my best to avoid downloading a crappy camera recording, but at this point I'm beginning to doubt I can do it

A bumping is done when it is clearly worth the bump.

As Wonder Woman is standing out to be the top stateside summer movie of the year so far sans Spidey: HC , it's worth mentioning that into 38th day, WW outpaced Mary Poppins by grossing 368 million to its 366 million dollars.  My earlier post thus being proved. That is clearly an impressive feat for a movie which started off with a modest 103 M.

This also implies that it is currently standing superior to every MCU solos sans sequels. W'all know they are all good movies.

And if it gets past 410 M, which rather looks still possible based on the current legs...it has outdone all the second sequels to MCU solos stateside gross...another impressive feat, if so.

I'll be posting a thread later based on the same.
