Better than the first movie. I actually stayed well awake during this one and found it alot more entertaining, more funny and more emotional.

They tried too hard to make the characters likeable in the first one and the enemy sucked ass. I didn't find it funny at all plus mr prat came accross as one dimensional who didn't seem too convincing. In the second one, there was only one instance where i felt he failed in the script. people must have went into this movie with high expectations. Luckily for me i didn't.

If you thought they were boring the first time, you'll love this one.  There was never a  dull moment.

I'm going to see this in an hour :)

So, how was it?

I just came back from my second time, still mindblown. I feel like after watching it twice in two days, now I need a break to really reflect on it and stuff... only problem being, if I can't stop thinking about the movie, it'll make me want to watch it again.

I guess not, though. It is a very overwhelming movie, unlike the first one which was more light-hearted and just plain fun.

I really enjoyed it alot. I wish more Marvel films were like this! I'm like a marvel/super hero hater :P so for me to like one is very rare. Kudos to Guardians of the Galaxy for changing my opinion.

I'm kinda the same. Other than a few exceptions, like the Dark Knight Trilogy and the X-men series, I just don't find the superhero premise all that interesting. Guardians won me over with a strong cast I actually cared about, which doesn't happen often in these type of movies.

certified fresh very early on RT (Fandango) to save the rapport as it has every chances to end up as a mixed bag on metacritic by looking at the 60s and 50s piling up.

Unfair, why not US furst.

I think Marvel do this with a lot of their movies. Not sure the strategy behind it though.

Fandango(Ticket agent) and  Studio relationship being the main reason. Studio gets overconfident from worldwide forecast, no matter whatever the quality of these movies are. They build rapport from early  high Rotten tomato reviews and forced critics consensus which are absolutely ridiculous to induce advance bookings/pre-sales tickets.

Marvel is yet to release a sequel better than the original ever since Winter Soldier.

Without spoiling anything, they may have hinted at a Fantastic surprise for phase 4.

I liked GOTG for what it was but it took me three viewings to really enjoy it. The last one being in 3D with the awesome imax scenes.

I don't care for MCU or phase whatever. I'm just excited to see a sequel to a solid space movie. It's a bonus to has two of my favourite actors in it, Kurt Russell and Sly Stallone.
