MH sales would have been even bigger if the games could run on the DS. Capcom wanted DS, but only PSP could run it.
When the oppurtunity came to ditch Sony portables, Capcom did it, because Sony needed MH more than MH needed Sony.

Well its like you said that making their IPs exclusive keep hurting them. They should have released them on both the 3DS and Vita.
Maybe E3 will clear things up
The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?
KLXVER said: Because you say that a small amount of people was disappointed. Im sure the people who had a PSP and wanted to play MH on the Vita is not a small amount. Why is it ok for Nintendo to get it exclusive and not Sony? |
And yet clearly a majority of PSP players didn't want the PS Vita.
It's ok for Nintendo to get exclusivity because Nintendo earned it with the 3DS. I side with business sense, and one could say that the better business sense would be to make it multi-plat, but Capcom seemed perfectly happy with the exclusivity money and the sales from the 3DS, so I would beg to differ.

and now the PS4 has 60M units sold. Thats way more than the Switch will have in a good while. The Vita has done ok in Japan and with the whole cross play thing on the PS4 it might do great. Especially if Sony pay them well.
Now that we all know that this rumour has been confirmed as false, I will pose a hypothetical scenario: what if... Monster Hunter 5 was an Xbox One exclusive as a means to help promote the Scorpio for the holidays?

It means that Capcom is without any doubt the dumbest company in the industry.

lol lets not go crazy here...
I think it would be possible for MH5 to release on PS4, but exclusive to the console? I highly doubt that... unless Sony paid a ton to secure that. The series does make a lot of sense on the Switch, considering the playstyle of that game.
Dance my pretties!
