Just a quick question.

PSVR is awesome and the most immersive experience I can recall having with a console in recent history. I'm not using mine.

I mean, since having my PSVR connected means I can't use HDR on my PS4 Pro, I've just disconnected it. Since it's not connected, sometimes I want to play it but I don't bother going through the trouble of playing with cables. Suddenly, I realized that I haven't touched mine since completing Resident Evil 7.

Am I the only one whose hardware has been gathering dust?

Is there much to use it on after RE7? I don't own one, so I don't follow news about it closely.

Before RE7, I purchased enough VR games to keep me occupied for months. I haven't even finished most of them. Not because their bad. It's just that "regular" games, at home or portable, have just taken up all of my free time.

lol you go from most immersive experience to i'm not playing it

Zelda and HZD have sucked me out of it. The only time I use it now is to copy screenshots to a USB stick so I don't have to turn my projector on (not good for the bulb to turn it on for only a few minutes) I actually tried playing HZD on it yet the virtual screen is actually not that much bigger than my projector to justify the big loss in resolution. Plus as a wearable screen it's just not great.

I did check out the new youtube app for VR with some of the 4K and 8K 360 videos. They are getting better, still plenty of room for improvement before those hit the hardware resolution ceiling. (Perhaps my connection isn't capable of streaming 8K 360 videos. It's kinda wasteful to stream 360 degrees at 8K, while you can only watch about 100 at any time but in theory 8k should be enough to get full 1080p at 100 degrees, it didn't look like it)

I plan to get back to it after HZD, still have plenty to play as well. I check the store every week to see what's new, which highlights the biggest problem VR has. All the VR games look like shit compared to HZD. Yet I don't really feel like playing any other plain screen games after these 2 master pieces. I want that RE7 high back, but diving back into Dirt Rally will do first.

I am only playing about 2 days a week now. As you mentioned the need to swap arond cables to experience HDR or VR stops me from playing more.

Right now I am highly anticipating the release of the Aim controller and Farpoint. IMO, this will be the first full VR experience on the system. It should be awesome with current controller tech, and bing a game built around VR from the ground up.

VR is by and far the best digital entertainment experience available. For me, putting on the headset and playing a game built for montion controls is on the same level, or better than going to an amusement park. I am more excited about what is coming out for VR than traditional gaming, but it will never fully replace traditional gaming, movies, TV ect., it is just a much higher and enjoyable experience for when I want to really get into something.

You don't have two HDTVs and PS4s? Granted, it's a bit of a hassle to juggle two PS4s, but when they're using the same user account, it's not so bad. The HDTV connected to the PS4 with VR could be an old HDTV since games are being played through the headset rather than viewed on screen.

The HDR/VR plug toggling sounds like something that could be fixed in a firmware update and is naturally a far more sensible solution.

I played GUNJACK 4 days ago. I finished 3 games on it, Batman VR, RE7 and Rush of Blood. It is all I expected in terms of VR, but now we need more titles.
Overall, I am happy I bought it

Fair enough, but I asked if anything has been released after RE7.
