Anyone know if you can play 5 players with 2 switches? For example:

- (NS 1) 4 Players + (NS 2) 1 player
Or
- (NS 1) 3 Players + (NS 2) 2 Players

Well, on WiiU you could only play with 2 players online on one console, so I'd assume it'd be the same for the Switch. So limit to 2 per console for online multiplayer, though it might not be the same for Deluxe, and I don't know if you'd be able to do local wireless with 2 players on one switch either.

Online multiplayer is indeed 2 players from a single switch into a 12 player race. Sounds the same as the Wii U online exactly.

Even if it is. You still can't do 5 players with 2 Switches?

Nope for Wireless play from the menu it's also either for 1 or 2 players per switch. Splitscreen multiplayer on the one machine is the only way to get access to the 4 player split.

Ah I see. Was hoping it would do that cause theres 5 people in our group.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Bit of a shame here, but in unlocking the race suits for your Mii in races the Skylander/Amiibo's of these 2 guys do actually work and count as Bowser and Donkey Kong as you might expect them to.

What is missed opportunities though in my opinion is that their Superchargers Vehicles the Barrel Blaster or the Cloud Cruiser don't have any interaction with MK8D, was hoping for some ya know... cart related to these two but nope, just an error message about how they aren't Amiibo's and to sod off with them, back on the shelf ye go lads.

I guess it was just easier for Nintendo to avoid upsetting fans seeing these 2 Carts in game and complaints related to their stats, pay to win, etc. so just easier to leave them out. Shame for fans of Toys to Life!

I now own two physical Switch games and I'm already regretting getting MK8 physical media. I passed on playing BreathOfTheWild in favor of youtube videos earlier because I would have to get up and swap out the cartridge, but I know I'm gonna want to play MK8 later. First world problems I guess.

Yeah I learned this from the Vita days, I have a ton of games on the Vita, as in card format, but the cards for that system are really thin and feel very fragile so I ended up actually rebuying a lot of them from psn and buying a 64GB card (over €100) just to have the convience of having the games on the machine without messing about.

Switch I feel is going to be very much a digital system for me for the most part unless I encounter really cheap copies of games like Bomberman used or so, otherwise will just be eshopping it up, I've been won over by the ease of access to digital games, on a portable anyways.

This is from a person who has over 200 GC games and around the same X360 Physical copies too. Love me a boxed copy, but also love being lazy :D

Vita memory cards were so expensive, I bought everything physically. With 3DS, PSP, and Switch, I prefer digital by far! It's always a battle deciding to go physical but once I accept that I'm not reselling anything, I'm good.

Off topic ... did you guys notice that in that game the HD rumble actually makes sounds? Particularly when picking up coins. It sounds like tyre squeal. Unless there's a hidden speaker in Joycons that I'm not aware of.

I wish I could get the dlc for this game... ;-;
